Working on my personal challenge again

I started a different piece, but it wasn't working for
me, so...I tatted the Woodland Medallion by Robin
It's tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Christmas Delight.
I didn't do it justice because I used just 1 shuttle
and a ball, but I believe it should be tatted with 2
shuttles.  I have another to make and then I can
post what I am doing with it.  :)
Happy Tatting everyone!!!  :)

Had a request for a pattern so I thought I would share here too

2 Ice Drops

I tatted this cream colored Ice Drop last
week, but was displeased with it.
Just me.  It's a little loose tatted in size
10 Lizbeth Latte Foam, but the thread
and stone were meant to be together.
Here is a better look at the colors.
I tatted this Ice Drop this morning.  It's in size 40
Lizbeth Purple Splendor with a frosted gem.
And, it's actually 6 points this time!!!  :)
This next picture is the purple Ice Drop showing
that you can see through the frosted gem.  :)
Hope your weekend has been a great one!!
Happy Tatting!!!  :)

My Twist on an Ice Drop

For those who know me, you could have guessed
I am sure.  :)
It is an Ice Drop Suncatcher!!!  :)
I started it while at Tollway Tatters and just finished
it today.  :)
I love how you can see through it!!!  :)
The gem was a gift and it perfectly matches this
HDT Blue Ridge(size 40), and these tiny light
blue beads, and the blue bangle bracelet.
Stretched into submission, but turned out beautiful!
Hope your weekend is blessed!!!  :)
Happy Tatting!!!  :)

Tablecloth update

Finally the "skinny tail" of the tablecloth
is gaining body.  Now to try and get it to
the width of the rest of it.  :)
Reminding myself:

A Starfish "Ice Drop"??

A tatting friend sent me this fabulous starfish bead.
I was inspired by it since I first saw it, and today
I turned it into a Starfish "Ice Drop".
This is the best picture of the bead since I forgot
to take one first.
Next is a little blurry, but it's the front.
 And last is the back.
I am figuring out that I seem to get 5 points pretty
easily, but as for 6, I am still struggling.  Most of
the time I tat in size 40.  Just so you all know, this
is tatted in size 10 Lizbeth Latte Foam.  :)
Happy Tatting!!!!  :)

Spent Saturday with awesome people......Who???

Tatters of course!!!  :)
We were even treated to a musical solo!!!
Here is Marilee playing her new cello for us.
Here are Diane and Carol either taking videos or
photos of Marilee playing so beautifully for us.
Here is Ana, Denise, and Elaine each working on
a different project.
Here are Barbara and Sue Anna.
Here is most of the group from where I was sitting.
So much fun, lots of tatting and chatting.
It was great to see so many different projects
being worked on, and to see so many tatters in
one place!!!!  :)
I am so excited for the next time I can go again!!!  :)
Happy tatting everyone!!!!!!!!!! :)

A completed request

A re-tat for a request.  A friend from
the Sunday morning ministry said she
wanted this cross.  Well....of course I
could not give her the first one with my
(ok, in my view) glaring mistake, so I
tatted her one without the "glaring"
mistake.  I love this!!!
Oh yah, this is the Easter Cross.
Had a friend who had a bad Mother's Day
and she is going to be receiving the Righteous Cross
(which she loved when she saw it on my facebook)
from this post:

Hope your day is going well, and your week too!!
Happy tatting!!!  :)

Second test tat today

This is another Elaine P. Gan design.
It's called New Cross.
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Snow White and
Purple Splendor.  It's only about 2 inches
tall.
Hope your day is going wonderfully!!
Happy Tatting!!!  :)

Another test tat!!

This is another one that is going to be
a favorite of mine!!
It's an Elaine P. Gan design called
Righteous Cross.
Tatted in Lizbeth size 40 Coral Splash
and Salmon Med.
Love the diamond in squares design!!!
Have a wonderful day!!!
Happy Tatting!!!!  :)

Suncatchers!!!

I am needing some suncatchers for some very special
ladies who will receive them in August.
I received some Ice Drop "gems" and "bingo chips"
(or tiddly winks to some) from a wonderful tatting
friend.  As you can see, I can't help but "play" with
them and tatting.  :)
Unlike muskaan, I am a glutton for punishment and
work with all these paperclips hanging around.
I tatted with Lizbeth size 40 Butterfly Breeze,
cheap plastic kids beads, and small glass beads, and
a bangle bracelet.
***pattern added to side list patterns***
Here is the first one I did in yellow a week or so
ago, along side the new blue one.
Both are tatted in the same color thread and have
a yellow bingo chip in the center, but the beads
and bracelets are different colors.
Amazing how different they look.
I started by trying a heart in the center, and next
a butterfly.  The picture below shows how neat
they look in a window and how you can see all
the way through.
Next, the yellow was my first attempt and it's a little
loose, but ok.  And, I noticed today that I missed
tatting 1 ring(I'm not telling where if no one sees it
cuz' when I posted it before no one said anything),
and I also missed 1 picot on the center chain
surrounding the bingo chip, so it should have 1 more
chain and large bead in the "middle ring" of the
suncatcher(oh, too late and it looks ok).  :)
So, for the blue one, I changed the design a little
and I came out better, but still a tiny bit loose, so...
another suncatcher will have to be made to do
better yet!!!  :)
But......I also am really needing to get back to my
personal challenge of tatting on glass ornaments
and filling my ornament stand before Christmas!!
Happy, happy tatting everyone!!!!!!!!  :)
Oh, and Happy Mother's Day to all who celebrate it!

Another messed up test tat

Not feeling too well, I don't feel
like just doing nothing, so I test
tatted again, and, again, I ended
up messing up.  I will have to
tat this again sometime.  It's
Elaine P. Gan's Heartfelt Cross
which looks tons better when the
picots are all the same on the out-
side!!!
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Lemon Yellow
to empty another shuttle.
Have a great day!!!
Happy Tatting!!!  :)

Still test tatting

I wasn't feeling too great yesterday or
today and I have messed this cross up
twice and this time it's finished, but
not great-just ok.
This is Elaine P. Gan's Primrose Cross.
Tatted in Lizbeth size 40 Elderberry Jam.
It's about 1 1/2 inches tall(by my guess
not measured).
I had major directional problems due to
not feeling well.  The pattern looks simple,
but it wasn't simple for me!
Hope your day is bright and sunny,
and happy tatting too!!  :)

Another test tat

With...another one of my tatting mistakes.
I LOVE this design.  It's one I have to
pay close attention to due to directional
challenges, but it's worth it!!!
This is another Elaine P. Gan design called
Easter Cross.  It's tatted in Lizbeth size 40
Elderberry Jam.
It will look better when blocked!
Hope your day is going well and that
you have tatting time!!!  :)

Now you can look! :)

Ok, Elaine changed stitch counts on a few
rings, but it's the same cross as my last post,
but.......much better tatting!!!!!!!!  :)
Have a fabulously sunny tatting day!!!  :)

Don't look!

This is another test tat for Elaine P. Gan.
This is Life Cross.  The pattern and diagram
were good, but my tatting stinks!!!!!!!
Guess I will have to try again!
Have a great night!  And happy tatting!  :)

A Suncatcher

I have a need to make a few suncatchers for a few
friends, but this time I wanted something of my own
creation, so I started....I wanted a heart in the center,
and I wanted to use a clear bingo chip(or tiddly wink).
So I enclosed it in 2 hearts, one on each side(needs
work!).  Then I tatted around the outside of the chip
adding picots for later joining, and joining to the hearts.
Next, I added chains with beads and it was looking
cute!
Next I decided I wanted 2 rings to join to each bead.
I had a couple of thoughts in mind for the chains, but
not being sure I just went with the same all the way
around(which made a beautiful and colorful wave!),
but I continued and then strung it to the bangle
bracelet.  Here it is in the sunshine!!
Here is where you can see the heart!!
And this is just to show off the Lizbeth size 40
Butterfly Breeze thread!!  :)
It's looks and a bit ruffly, but it's pretty!!  :)
The learning process continues!!  :)
Happy tatting and have a wonderful weekend!!  :)

Another Ice Drop tatted while trying to empty a shuttle

Here is a "quick" Ice Drop.
I just wanted to empty the shuttle and
this is what happened.  :)
Here it is with the one from the previous post.
Happy, happy tatting!!!  :)

Another Ice Drop(addiction is catching)

This is Diane's Purple Fudge pattern without the top
rings.  I didn't think I had enough thread on the shuttle
to do the top rings so I just left them off, and I was
being lazy!!!
This is tatted in Lizbeth size 20 Red Burst.
I just had to show the sunlight through it!  :)
We have sun today!!!
And this picture was just to show the color!  :)
Have a wonderful day and weekend, and
happy tatting!!!!  :)

Another test tat done today

Again, it's the "famous"(at least on this
blog) Elaine P. Gan's design.
This is the Liberty Cross tatted in size
40 Lizbeth Pineapple Parfait.
Elaine asked if it had been test tatted
before and I wasn't sure, but today I
thought the diagram looked familiar and
ended up searching my blog and found
this post:
So, I guess I kind of test tatted it before.  I like the
longer chains and the decorative picots added!
Hope your day has been blessed with tatting!!  :)

A Second Test Tatted cross today!

This is another Elaine P. Gan design.
This one is Gift Cross because it looks
like bows.  She did her's in a solid color
so the bows were much more visible,
but I am just using shuttles with threads
already on them, and my addiction is
variegated colors!!  :)
This is Blue Ridge HDT by Tat-ilicious.
There are a few gaps and 1 real
mistake in this(my mistake), but I love it
and will keep it for me!!  :)
Happy Tatting and have a wonderful night!  :)

Test tatting again

I was allowed to test tat for Elaine P. Gan again.
I don't know why, but I just love test tatting!!!
I think her designs are wonderful and I think
it's like a small challenge to test tat a new design
and make sure to watch the directions and diagram
closely to check for mistakes.
This is Chantilly Cross tatted in size 40
Lizbeth Pink Blossoms.
I wouldn't have used pink, but I am in the
process of trying to use up threads on shuttles
so that when I get the chance to tat something
new, I have clear shuttles!!  And I knew the
cross would be small and not use too much thread.
Have a fabulous day and hopefully some great
tatting time!!!  :)

An altered version of Diane's Purple Fudge Ice Drop

Mine is an Ice Drop Star.
I used my normal size 40 thread-Lizbeth Tropical Punch
and had to alter stitch counts to make it fit, so I ended
up with a star.  :)
This is the front.
 And this is the back.
Happy tatting everyone!!  :)
