Progress and a surprise

I finished 2 angels and a pair of Small Maple Leaf
earrings this weekend.  Lots more to get ready for
Craft Show on Dec. 1.
And the surprise was for me yesterday.  I went to
our Sunday night church and my in-laws said they
had something for me.  It was actually from their
apartment complex manager.  She knew I do tatting
because she has one of the crosses I tatted, and she
told them she was going through some books and
found this and knew that it was for me.  Wow!!!
I have the shuttles and now the book!
Busy working on about 3 projects at the same
time so...off the computer and back to work!
Have a wonderful day and get some tatting in!  :)

Post #1 Pink Firm Foundation Cross

This is another Elaine P. Gan design.
It's only about 2 inches tall.
It is tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Pink Blossoms.
Just before the Craft Show I was busy trying
to get some of Yarnplayer's Small Maple Leaf
earrings done.  I made some for our daughter
quite some time ago and she gets constant
compliments on them.
I thought some ladies might prefer a golden
leaf, but no one seemed to want them.
They are tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Honey Drizzle.
I also tatted them in my favorite Lizbeth Autumn
Spice(size 40), and both pairs sold quickly.
The picture below shows that Lizbeth size 40
tats up to the size in the pictures on the pattern.
And, today I tatted them in size 40 Lizbeth Falling
Leaves.  Lots more tatting to get done!!!
I want to play with some of my new colors
of thread, but....important things have to
be done first....hmmmm...maybe something
needs to be tatted in one of the new colors(wink).
Have a great day and get your tatting in!!
This was the first of 2 posts, but Blogger
switched the order so don't miss the post
before it.  ;)

Post # 2 A white angel with blue beads

Love this angel!! :)  Prettier in person!
Size 40 Lizbeth Snow White with blue
beads.  Larger beads than the Christmas
Angel.
I also got 1 Small Maple Leaf earring done,
and 2 angel wing centers done and ready
for the final row before starting the
bodies(skirts).
Have a wonderful day of tatting!! :)

A Christmas Angel

I wanted to add beads to an angel and I
thought I would start with Christmas
colors.
I love it more now that it's done!!
When I had just the wings done it looked
ok, but wasn't really inspiring me, but
now I think it looks great!! :)
I love beads that you can see through!
I am working on the pink cross and then
I want to start an angel with blue beads.
So many things I want to get done, but I
am not able to do as much as I want.
Have a wonderful day and try to work
on some tatting too!! :)

Oct. Tollway Tatters

We started off with a pretty good group.....
 And grew....
Lots of tatting, chatting and goodies!!
Nancy brought these really neat zipper bags with
the little bottle of beads, and the snowflake and
elf charms, and the Ice Drop gems.  And Diane
had (part of) her collection of decorated bottle caps
and let us purchase some.  I love the Santas!!! :)
 And we continued to grow!!
There were 11 of us in total!!! :)
And while we were there the ventilation fans quit
working so they opened the doors and left them open
and froze us(ok, chilled a LOT!!).
And it started snowing, then lots and lots of snow
like sheets and the wind was so strong the snow
was going sideways.
Last week I thought I would try and tat some of
my dreamcatcher earrings, but I can no longer
get my hammered hoop earrings so, I found these
which are similar, but they have smooth edges and
I had to guess where to make my picots, and I
guessed wrong.  Oh well, our daughter calls it an
autumn spiral.  ;)
And, yesterday I remembered I needed a cross
for one of our newest Sunday night seniors.  Her
favorite color is yellow and so I tatted this cross
for her in Lizbeth size 40 Pineapple Parfait.
The pattern is Christina from Tatted Bookmarks
- cross-shaped by Lene Bjorn.
I now have a pink cross needed for another
senior so I will work on that this week, while
trying to "build" up my stock for the next
Craft Show.
Have an awesomely wonderful day, and
I hope you get your tatting in too!! :)

A Purple Angel

At the Craft Show a lady asked if I had a purple angel
and I said no I don't, but I can make one.  She said ok,
and ordered 2 Blue Ice Angels also.
I had to order the Lizbeth size 80 Purple Iris Fusion
thread and it made it here in record time, so I got busy
and tatted her purple angel.  Her order is ready and
waiting for her.
Have a wonderful tatting filled day!!! :)

Super Excited!!!!!!!!!!

I have just been accepted into another Craft Show for this year!!
Sat. Dec. 1.  This one is already established and according to the
info. last year they had so many vendors that it was crowded, so
I am expecting this one to be huge!!!
I have to get super busy with angels and whatever else I think will
sell. I think it will be hard to sleep tonight.
Have a blessed night!!!  :)

First Craft Show done

Well, we made it through our first Craft Show.
The Craft Show itself was a first also so it wasn't
as big as many had hoped, but I am ok with that.
Here is our front display table.
Below is our side table(luckily there was room).
Our friend does knitting and she brought some,
another friend makes wooden keepsake boxes,
and our daughter brought some of her books.
Oh, and the rack was large enough to display
a Christmas wreath on each side(the blue one
sold).
And, we had the only touch of Christmas
I saw, but it was the best way to display
the tatted angels and Christmas Ice Drops.
Since we didn't figure on having electricity
we used battery powered fairy lights.
For a double first I think we did well.
Hope you had a fabulous weekend and
got your tatting in!!! :)
Now back to tatting work because I also
received an order for 3 angels(one of
which I had to order the thread this morning
because she wants a purple angel.
