Improved twin

Ok, so...I was not as happy with the first owl
bracelet, so I made a couple of small changes
and I think I like it better.  It actually is a tiny
bit longer, but to me the tatting looks a bit
thicker and neater.
Again, it's Lizbeth size 40 black.
I ran out of thread on the shuttle at one point and
had to add more, then I freaked out when I spotted
a huge mistake of a missing ring & chain with a
bead between owls.  The repair was no easy fix
and I am hoping it's not visible(thankfully, not to
non-tatters!).  :)
Hope you had a wonderful day and some tatting too!!  :)

A Christmas surprise bracelet

I don't have the ends sewn in or the findings on,
but I wanted to show it.  This is for our daughter's
friend. She loves owls and will be here for an
exchange of gifts for Christmas some time probably
after Christmas.
This is an adaption of my design which is here:
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Black with tiny black beads
and of course the owl beads.  :)
Happy tatting and have a wonderful day!!!  :)

Tatting on.......

It's very dark gray and snowy around here today
so...since the lighting was as bad as last night I
used flash and zoom to show the progress.
Yesterday it was almost 70 degrees F. here and today
it's in the 20's and 30's and snowing(which is ok with
me-great excuse to stay inside and tat!!!).
I hope you are all having a great Saturday and
getting some tatting in!!!  :)

Making tiny bits of progress and am happy with the fix

Bad lighting!!!  It's dark and rainy out and there is
no natural light, but the flash was too bright, so...
we are just going with this picture for now.
Happy tatting and I will try to get more done
tomorrow!!!  :)

Missed mistake??????

Oh, just so everyone knows, no one has notified me of my mistake!!!!  I found it yesterday morning while I was not able to be on the internet because it wasn't working.  Carefully look at the last repeat!  I sat to tat some more yesterday and realized in the morning that I made a mistake and switched shuttles without noticing.  Well, the scissors met the doily and the surgery seems to have went well.
Have a great day and hopefully tonight I will post an updated picture!!  :)

Hmmm.... think the snails have passed me already

Well....I haven't gotten any tatting done until today,
and I actually got 3 more repeats done(if you look
closely at the bottom of the picture you will see the
tip of a shuttle marking the first one tatted today.
Life, financial struggles, and holiday preparations
are really delaying this.  I am really looking forward
to when it's complete so I can say I got it done!!!
I am hoping to have some time this Saturday to tat
since we have no plans and the weather people are
saying it's going to snow some, and I am hoping to
have time on Thanksgiving Day since we are not
having everyone over this year due to the finances.
Hope you are having a wonderful tatting time!!!  :)

there has been progress!!!  :)
Happy tatting!!!

Tiny bits of tatting

Ok, only 3 repeats have been achieved so far.  At
this rate Fox will catch up and pass me!  :)
Here's a view of most of the doily.
A lady in our Sunday morning group picked out a
pair of donut earrings for her youngest daughter,
but the sweet angel says she doesn't like to wear
earrings even though her ears are pierced so, I told
her I could put the donuts on a bracelet for her and
she was very excited.  I went with a simple ring
and chain design, and although the colors are not
something I would normally choose, I figured a 5
or 6 year old would love it more!
It's small and I made it so the lobster claw clasp
can hook into any of those rings so she can grow
into it.  :)
So you see that I have been tatting like a turtle,
but still tatting!
Happy tatting and have a wonderful day!!!!  :)
