Tatting when possible

I tatted most of these earrings this weekend
between things we had to do and finished the
match to the last set last night.
They are Yarnplayer's Small Maple Leaf
bottom set has orange beads.
They are tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Falling Leaves
thread.  Now off to finish them.
And, I needed to empty one shuttle and have a
change from the leaves so I tatted this little
and had to do the shoelace trick for the final
chains and floating ring, plus hand tatting to finish.
Hope you are all having a great day and getting in
some tatting!!!  :)
For those who are wondering about the housing
situation here...we are still in a hotel, but the
well and septic were supposed to be done
yesterday(we haven't heard yet for sure).
I will keep you posted.  ;)

Finally got my blue suncatcher done

Tatted in Lizbeth size 80 Peacock Blues and in a
4 inch ring.  This will grace our home-when we
have one.  ;)
My own design.  It amazes me how a design comes
out on it's own.
I tatted 2 pairs of Yarnplayer's Small Maple Leaf
No new news on the home/land.
I have made dagger earrings for our
daughter the pirate, and she had a friend
want some, so she sold 2 pairs, and is
at an event and has several along just in
case someone else wants them too.
Now, what to do???
Have a wonderful tatting filled weekend!!  :)

My own design suncatcher.....and bracelet

Well....my own design is wonderfully airy, but...
too large for a bangle bracelet, and for a 3 in ring,
and....too small for a 4 inch ring, so on to another
row to fit a 4 inch ring.  ;)
Oh, tatted in size 80 Lizbeth Peacock Blues.
Our daughter loves it and after the center and first
row were done, she named it.  Heart of the Sea.
She said she had read a book and that is what it
reminds her of.  So, I am keeping the name.
For some reason, I was inspired by the design and
ended up tatting a bracelet.
It starts off fiddly, but after one of the paperclips
and a bead fell off, I took them all off to continue
a bit easier.  Here is the start.  I tatted all of the beaded
section first.
After the first side of the beaded section was done,
I then tatted the first half of one end, around to the
other side, then worked my way back joining all
the beads, then tatted the opposite end.
 I love it!!!  :)  I think it's mine!  ;)
Below is a closer up view of the details.
Have an awesome week of tatting everyone!!! :)

Quints

Still using Sue Hanson's pattern:
https://web.archive.org/web/20120811100815/http://freespace.virgin.net/bo.hanson/Tatting/CrystalRing/CrystalsRing.html
Still tatted in size 40 Butterfly Breeze,
this time I used a frosted gem, clear beads,
and a silver bangle bracelet.
I used up the thread on that shuttle making
the last 4 suncatchers so...on to another color.
Lizbeth size 40 Juicy Watermelon.
With red and green beads and a green
bangle bracelet like a watermelon's
outer rind.
 All 5 in a row.
Having limited supplies is frustrating, but I have a
size 40 Correction 80 Lizbeth Peacock Blues along and some blue
gems and beads so....I am working on a design of my own.
.  We shall see what it ends up looking like later.
I think I will be ok with my craft show stock
if I keep going.  ;)
Here is a picture of our land cleared.
Still not sure what is going to happen and when so
we are still in a hotel room.
Have a wonderful day and hope you get some tatting done!! :)

Triplets

Well, as if you didn't know this was coming.
Same design slightly altered and pink beads.
This again is Sue Hanson's pattern:

Below are all three in the order they were tatted.
Size 40 Lizbeth Butterfly Breeze and 4mm &6mm
beads with bangle bracelets.
Looks like I might have a good stock for the craft
shows, oh, and I just got notified of another one, so
at this point I am preparing for 4, but hoping for 6
craft shows to be in.  ;)  Super excited!!!
Happy tatting everyone!! :)

Tatted and finished today

If I could stay at this rate I would have plenty
for the craft shows!!!  ;)
This is another Ice Drop Suncatcher using Sue
Hanson's pattern:
https://web.archive.org/web/20120811100815/http://freespace.virgin.net/bo.hanson/Tatting/CrystalRing/CrystalsRing.html
Tatted again in size 40 Lizbeth Butterfly Breeze
and my crackle beads, but using a different
color beads this time.
And another one set aside to be made and to
draw out another color of the thread. The
first one pulled out the teal, this one the
yellow, the next pink.  ;)
Here are the 2 side by side to see the difference.

Oh, I added 8 more motifs to the tablecloth last night-
still making progress!
More bad news on the house/land deal, but prayer
and tatting are helping me through.
Have a great day tatting along!!!! :)

A tatted Ice Drop Suncatcher

Tatting helps soothe after an emotional
breakdown.  I am human and I prove it
every day is what I tell all those I teach
on Sunday mornings and on Sunday nights.
Well, today was one of those day when I
had only about 3 hours of sleep and then
a meeting with the mobile home dealer
who informed us that the home would
not be delivered before the end of Sept.
Well, a little more rest, some food, and
then tatting, Bible study for both groups
on Sundays, and some good music-
I feel better.
This suncatcher is really beautiful in
person, but I couldn't get a good picture
and did't want to fight for one.
Oh, it's a modification of Sue Hanson's
Val's Suncatcher Crystals in a Ring,
and I used my new crackle beads!!  They
are teal and pink which go well with the
size 40 Lizbeth Butterfly Breeze thread!
Hope you had a great day and got some
tatting in too!!  :)
***Tatting Spotted***
I love the Christy series movies and tonight
I am having to watch them online through
Youtube, and guess what I spotted for the
first time after seeing the movies on my
tv so many times....TATTING!!  Yep, it's there.

A necklace pendant

I found this beautiful pendant and it
called for some tatting.  My photo isn't
good, but it does look good in person.
I used size 40 Lizbeth Falling Leaves
and tiny black beads.
The pendant is a very thin metal.
Below it's on my fingers to show size.
I will add a chain when possible.
Oh, the cross is lost.  I went to give it to the lady
and she wasn't here so I tucked it into the zippered
part of my purse and somehow it disappeared.  I
guess that means I need to tat another one.
Good news, they are excavating the land we bought
and the mobile home is being built, and there was
other land to sell and it's already on the market and
getting phone calls.  I am seeing a miracle happen!
Will keep you posted.
Have an awesome tatting day!!! :)

Tatting fights boredom!!!

Since we are running out of money and
of course that means we can't "run around",
it gets awful boring in this room!!!
So, more tatting is getting done.  I tatted
this cross today for a sweet lady who makes
the breakfast they serve each day and she
spoils my hubby!!!
This is the link:  https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/792ccb_79ef3df1fea342bfba3db359dbbb56e8.pdf
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Juicy Watermelon
(left on shuttle from the doily).
Yesterday I tatted a heart in the same color for
the lady in housekeeping.  I didn't get a picture,
Have a wonderful tatting filled day!!! :)
