This shell pendant is complete

Well, I hope you all like it!!  I wasn't
thrilled with it without the outer round,
but now I like it.  ;)
I am going to find a chain for it, and I
have to work on 2 sets of earrings now-
the pink and the ones which go with this.
I think a friend has claimed the Tropical
pink necklace I just finished.  ;)
Have a wonderful peaceful tatting week!! :)

I am wearing my Christmas present today and tatting!!! :)

For those who don't know, I received a
fabulous sweatshirt for Christmas(in the
center of the picture below).  :)
And the beads on the left near the ladybug
which are in this tatted necklace(and were in
my last one also).
Here is the close-up.  This is a shell necklace which
has matching earrings(which I will be added tatting to also).
I have to sew in the ends and add a clasp, but for the
most part it's finished.  :)
This necklace pendant has a whole in the center and
I wanted it to have a tatted piece so, I placed a free
swinging butterfly inside.  Our daughter really likes
it, so I am sure someone else will also!!! :)
Here is a close-up of how I finished the chains.
I tatted the main parts with beads, but...
for the shoulders and back I used rings and
chains to the beads and tatting wouldn't rub
against the neck.
The beads and tatting kind of swirl a bit,
but I am going to try and tame that with
blocking if it's possible.  ;)
Have a wonderful Palm Sunday weekend,
and happy tatting!!! :)

My kinda day so far!!! :)

The house is peaceful and quiet while
my hubby and daughter are having a
daddy/daughter date.
So I am enjoying homemade cocoa....
 and tatting of course!!! :)
Now to figure out how to do the other
side in mirror image, or just work from
top clasp end to necklace and figure out
how to join.  Wish I just knew!!!
Happy tatting and Palm Sunday weekend
everyone!!! :)

Not a lot of tatting, but some

I am still working on widening out the thinner end
of the tablecloth to make the whole thing the same
width and then continue.
Currently I am creating the open circle holes on
each side.  It takes 2 motifs to create each one as
the sides are now.  I don't have much to go to have
both of the thinner sides equal again.  I tat 2-4
motifs almost each night.
Below you can see that when I finish getting these
rows finished I will have 2 more rows on each side
to have the whole thing the same width, and then,
tons more work to get about another 2 feet on each
side(just guessing).  ;)
Today I finally put in some effort to making the chain
for the pink shell necklace.  This might take some time,
but I like the uniqueness of how it's turning out.
Here's a closer-up view of the chain itself.
Well, that's the update for today.
Have a fabulous tatting rest of the week!! :)

Twins

They are so pretty!! :)
Both will end up as pendants I think.
Have a happy tatting day!! :)

I think I will be tatting for at least a year more(wink)

I have been needing(wanting) to restock threads,
but money has been an issue. Well, I saved and I
got to spend.  I now have 14 colors I haven't had
before and 11 restocks of colors I love!!
All size 40(I think I need to get different sizes
next time).  ;)
And....some beads for embellishment and hopefully
more suncatchers!! :)
Terrible thing I have trying to decide which colors
of anything!!!  I am drawn by many colors, but
don't have enough for all!!
Have a fabulous tatting day!!! :)

My Florette in size 80

This is my Florette Ice Drop pattern tatted in size 80
Lizbeth Berry Burst.  I am calling it a bead drop since
the center gem isn't glass, actually it's like a rubber
bead by the feel of it.  The colors go so well with the
bead I just had to try, and I felt like the Florette would
bring out the flowers too!
Happy Tatting everyone!!! :)

I am growing addicted to my own Ice Drop design

Today I tatted my Florette Ice Drop in size 40
Lizbeth Pink Blossoms,
and in size 40 Lizbeth Orange Crush.
I have tatted 4 so far, but I love them!! :)
And, I have a friend in need of a cross and she
asked for pink, so Lizbeth size 40 Pink Blossoms
was used and that is how the Ice Drop got it's color!
As you can see from my projects, finishing ends
doesn't happen right away.  ;)
I guess I will go add some more motifs to
the tablecloth.
Have a wonderful tatting filled weekend!! :)

An Elderberry Jam Florette Ice Drop

I tatted another Florette.  I needed to empty
more shuttles and this is one of my favorite
colorways.  It's size 40 Lizbeth Elderberry Jam.
I wanted to add beads, but didn't think it
out well so...they waited and were added to
the top of the hanging loop.  ;)
Happy tatting everyone!!! :)

My Florette Ice Drop pattern

Florette Ice Drop by Sue B.

**I used Lizbeth size 40 thread for this.  And a regular sized gem.

R= ring,  Ch= chain, sm. p= small picot, lg. p= large picot, j= join

Center back:
R  6 sm. p  6 lg. p  6 sm. p  6
Ch 6 sm. p  3 lg. p  3 sm. p  6
Continue as a basic Ice Drop joining the rings to the last picot of the ring, and second to the large picot on the first ring, and remember to join the last ring to the first ring to complete it.  This has a total of 6 rings and 6 chains.

Front center(rings and chains holding gem in):
R  8 lg. p  8 lg. p  8
Ch  12

Outer round:
Ch  4 sm. p  3
R  3 j 3
Ch 10 j 10
R  3 j 3
Ch  3 sm. p  4 (next chains will join to this picot, and the final chain will join to the very first chain).
**Tat this in which order is easiest for you.  This is the order I prefer.

My (new) Florette Ice Drop

We had to get taxes done today and I am always
so extremely bored since I don't know half of what
they are talking about, so..I decided ahead of time to
take tatting along.  And Ice Drop would be nice,
quick and easy enough, especially if I just make it
up and don't need a pattern.
So, I ended up with what I am calling Florette.
The plan was to have an orange center gem, but the
color didn't look good enough when time to add the
gem so I had a green one along just in case.
Oh, it's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Autumn Spice.
I really like the design and wrote out what I did in
case I get requests for the pattern.
Have a wonderful weekend and happy tatting!!! :)

Tatting to show

Well, I didn't get all the ends sewn in before adding
more motifs, but each side on the thinner end of
the tablecloth is now even again and thicker.
On the left side you see the end which is the thicker
end and I don't have too much more to go to finally
have the whole thing the same width, and then I will
have to progress to the size of the table from there
(years from now maybe??).
I had a need for 2 crosses for one of the ministries we
are in so I tatted Elaine P. Gan's My Portion Cross.
First in size 40 Lizbeth Snow White.
Second in DMC Metallic(which is not
so nice to deal with, but I ran out of
white and this one is for a man.  There
is an error which I am hoping isn't
noticeable, plus this thread doesn't
like to lay flat(good thing I will be
sewing it down).  :)
Hope your day is fabulous and filled
with tatting!!! :)
