Final color of the rainbow about to be added

I worked on the second orange row last night, but
I was super tired and not feeling great.  I finished
this morning with some very beautiful sunshine
showing through the suncatcher.
Here it is on white paper.  When finished I will
post all the color names.
Have a beautiful and blessed Saturday and Sunday!! :)
***Well, since no one has commented on this yet I  will
add what I have gotten done since then.  I have the
first row of red done(3 are the intention).  As you
can see it is almost done!!! :)
Have a wonderful Sunday!! :)

A little heartbreak to start today

I had both yellow rounds done when this morning
I was ready to start orange and I noticed a major
problem.  I had done both rows the same without
realizing that I was not supposed to have beads on
the second yellow round.  I need picots so the next
round can join the rings to.  I cut off that round and
have tatted it correctly and am currently ready to
start orange.  I had also noticed that when I strung
the orange beads, I forgot to put some on the shuttle
for the rings, so....bead stringing was another thing
I had to do.  Worse part is that I only had maybe
4 hours of sleep, so my brain is somewhat off today.
Have a wonderful day and get some tatting time in!! :)

Green done, moving on to yellow next.

Continuing to work on the suncatcher(with a headache).
I have green now done and moving on to yellow.
Just had to show the sparkle of the beads since we
have a glimpse of sun between rain showers.
Have a great day tatting!!! :)

September Tollway Tatters gathering

What an awesome day with the Tollway Tatters again!!!
We got to meet other tatters(I want to say new, but I am
sure they have tatted for awhile).  We met Gail, and Kathy,
and Glenda, and got to see Elaine after not seeing her for
awhile.
Below is (left to right) Gail, Denise, Kathy, Elaine,
Diane, and Glenda(I was taking the picture).
Diane brought her very beautiful Pop Top Drops.
Believe it or not, we again succeeded to get plenty
of tatting in amongst all the chatting.
And then, Carrie came and joined us and brought
her daughter Elizabeth who does Quilling(a special
curled paper art-beautiful!).
I am working on a "rainbow" suncatcher for the Craft
Show next month.  I got the blue rounds done while
at Tollway Tatters.  Everyone loved these colors together.
And, of course, we love to share things with each other.
Denise had these cute storage boxes with fun items to
use with or in tatting.  Diane tempted(me) us with
wonderful Pop-Tops to add tatting too(the choices were
so hard to make!!). And, I have my official Tollway
Tatters Shuttle.  Diane explained that the Violets and
Cardinal represent the Illinois state flower and bird,
and the back it tie-dye to go along with the shirts we
usually wear to recognize each other.  ;)
Close-up of the front of the shuttle.
 Close-up of the back.
What a blast!!!!  Love meeting with all these
wonderful ladies!!!!  Can't wait for the next time
I can join them!!! :)
Have a wonderful day-hopefully filled with tatting!!!

So busy....

I have 9 angels ready for the craft show in Oct.
I have 2 of each color, and 1 white(so far).
I tatted around a couple more of the small confetti
circles.  I added some little Christmas buttons a
friend gave me.  The green candy button will be
nice to hook the ornament hook through.
I need a $20 item for the raffle at the craft show so
I am planning a rainbow suncatcher, and hoping to
start it Saturday(just procrastinating on stringing
tons of beads).  ;)
Tatting here and there, on and off, and still loving it!!
Have a wonderful day everyone!!! :)

Red, white, & green wreath done!

Here is a picture of the complete wreath.
Next is a close-up of the left side.
Then a close-up of the right side.
Now a close-up of the bottom.
Last, a close-up of the bow(I am all covered in
sparkly glitter-oh, the floor also).
Well, I have over 70 items tatted, or with tatting(the
wreaths) for the Craft Show, and 50 some charm
earrings.  I am still working on angels because I would
like to have at least 10(I have 7). And I am hoping to
have time to tat some of my dreamcatcher earrings-
we shall see.
Hope your day is blessed with tatting!!! :)

Cut, tie, hide ends.

For Princess Ice Drop Suncatcher-I used a bangle bracelet almost 3 inches across.
I had plenty of thread on my shuttle yet, so I unwound about 2 feet and used a crochet hook to pull the thread through the picots on the outer chains and then wrapped the thread once around the bracelet, and then pulled it through the next picot until I had them all "laced".  Then I snugged up the thread and then tied the tails and then tatted a zig-zag chain 3 first half stitch, then 3 second half stitch until I got it as long as I wanted it, and then I tatted a ring with the shuttle thread 15 stitches and hid the end.

Still working on the angels, but....

Lizbeth Scottish Thistle thread was calling me
to make it into an Ice Drop Suncatcher.  I finally
got more shuttles and wound the beads and thread
and got busy.  I wasn't sure how it would look when
finished, but I ended up with this Ice Drop which
I am calling the Princess Flower Ice Drop(the colors
and the "crowns" gave it that name).
Below is the back in progress on the outer round.
Below is the front in progress on the outer rounds.
The outer round finished it's a fancy Ice Drop.
Then strung into a bangle bracelet.
Below is the front in a window.
 And...the back in a window.
It's all ready for the craft show!
Have a wonderful day tatting!!! :)
