Time to catch up on what's been happening here.

Our daughter, Sarah, and I were at our first craft
show of this year.  Here she is with all her items(tons!).
Everything in this picture up to the little Christmas
tree on the left.
Below is my large Christmas tree with the larger
Pop Top Ice Drop ornaments, and small space of
jewelry(plus my in-progress forever tatted tablecloth).
And below is my small tree with small Pop Top
Ice Drop ornaments, Christmas button ornaments,
and mirror ornaments.

These young girls who were at the craft show before,
were back and selling ribbon wrapped candy cane
wreaths.  I wanted to support them, and got this fabulous
snowflake candy cane wreath.
A lady at the craft show was admiring my tatting
and told me how she used to crochet angel tree
toppers.  I was so curious how big size 3 thread
would make the Cathedral  Angel(by Elaine P. Gan)
that I tried it.  I don't have a correct head, but tried a
couple to see. This is the largest bead I have(too small).
This is one of my mirror ornaments, great size,
but too flat.
Below shows the difference in sizes.  First is size 3,
second is size 40, then size 20.
And, I wanted to embellish this beautiful agate slice
with tatting.  I like how it turned out.  :)  Next is to
tat a chain.
And, I tatted 2 snowflakes to use as earrings.
This pattern is #8 from 4 Dozen
Tatted Snowflakes from Robin Perfetti.
So, you are all caught up here!! ;)
Have a wonderful tatting filled day and
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!! :)

A Christmas Angel

I wanted to add beads to an angel and I
thought I would start with Christmas
colors.
I love it more now that it's done!!
When I had just the wings done it looked
ok, but wasn't really inspiring me, but
now I think it looks great!! :)
I love beads that you can see through!
I am working on the pink cross and then
I want to start an angel with blue beads.
So many things I want to get done, but I
am not able to do as much as I want.
Have a wonderful day and try to work
on some tatting too!! :)

A Purple Angel

At the Craft Show a lady asked if I had a purple angel
and I said no I don't, but I can make one.  She said ok,
and ordered 2 Blue Ice Angels also.
I had to order the Lizbeth size 80 Purple Iris Fusion
thread and it made it here in record time, so I got busy
and tatted her purple angel.  Her order is ready and
waiting for her.
Have a wonderful tatting filled day!!! :)

So busy....

I have 9 angels ready for the craft show in Oct.
I have 2 of each color, and 1 white(so far).
I tatted around a couple more of the small confetti
circles.  I added some little Christmas buttons a
friend gave me.  The green candy button will be
nice to hook the ornament hook through.
I need a $20 item for the raffle at the craft show so
I am planning a rainbow suncatcher, and hoping to
start it Saturday(just procrastinating on stringing
tons of beads).  ;)
Tatting here and there, on and off, and still loving it!!
Have a wonderful day everyone!!! :)

Little starts yesterday

Amidst all the housework I did yesterday, I was
actually able to get some tatting in.
I started 2 angels(these are the centers of the wings),
and 2 bookmarks(still test tatting, and fulfilling
one request).
I hope your day is filled with tatting!!! :)

Preparing for the Craft Show in Oct.

Photography is not my talent.  I love taking
pictures, but they don't seem as wonderful as
when others take them.
I wanted to show the 4 colors of angels I have.
Lizbeth Summer Fun, Cotton Candy,
Tropical Punch, and Blue Ice.
I currently have 5 angels ready.
I bought artificial wreaths years ago to add tatting
to, but have procrastinated A LOT!!!
Well, the garland was done a long time ago,
the snowflakes on and off a long time ago,
the snowman were bought when the wreath was,
and I just got the ribbon for the bow.
I am second guessing the bow now.  The blues are
so different, yet all the blues are different.
I made the bow yesterday.
Hoping you can see all the little pieces.
Any opinions on the bow??  Should I look for
another blue ribbon that could be a better match??
The wall is actually cream colored, but the sun is
coming through the blinds to the left of this and
I can't get better pictures.

Have a wonderful day and hopefully some tatting
too!!!  :)

So, as of now I have 4 angel colors:

Angels, angels, and more angels to come!!!

Well, I now have orders for 8 angels.
I want a variety of colors for people to
choose from, so the 3rd color of angel is
here:  Lizbeth Cotton Candy(size 80).
Here is Summer Fun, and Cotton Candy angels.
And, here is size 40 Blue Ice angel.
I am busy working on angels and doilies yet!!!
I am also trying to figure out packaging for the
angels, and if I should stiffen them.......
Well, too much thinking and tatting going on!
Have a wonderful day!!! :)

Tatting(me) and fishing(him)....

Ok, so....I am working on tatting another angel
while out with hubby fishing.  This one is tatted
in size 40 Lizbeth Blue Ice.
I finished it at the first fishing spot and compared
it here to the size 80 Lizbeth Summer Fun.
And here was our first fishing view.  First I was
told it was a lake, then later I was told it was a river,
but....it looked like a lake to me, and there were
tons of boats and jet skis out today!!!
The greenery on the left in the picture above was a
small area and so I went on the left side of it and
took the picture below.  Let me say, I wish I could
have taken a picture of the whole 180 degree scene
it was beautiful!!!  :)
I have tatted since I got home and have over half
way around one of the twin doilies round 16 done.
Have a wonderfully blessed Sunday and happy tatting!!

Cathedral doily update

Row 26 done and it's about 14 1/2 inches across.
Again, it is being tatted in size 40 Lizbeth threads.
The twins are ready for row 16(top of the picture).
I think I am making ok progress on them.
We have friends who have gone fishing with my
hubby for years, but one has cancer and isn't able
to go any longer, and the other passed away last
week, so....I felt it would be good to go keep my
hubby company from now on, or until the Lord
sends another fishing buddy for him.  Here is the
view from yesterday morning.
It was quite windy, but he caught two fish.  The
first one didn't want to stick around when caught
so I didn't get a picture, but....
I got this one, and...it was the larger one.
I was able to get some of row 26 on the doily above
tatted while out there, and then when I got home I
started another angel.  This one is in size 40(the
others have been size 80) Lizbeth Blue Ice.  I have
orders for 3 more angels, and, if another lady likes
the Blue Ice she said she will order some.  So,
now I have the twin doilies and 6(so far) angels
to have ready by Dec. 1.  Thankfully that is a little
ways away, but it will come quickly!!!
Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!
Hope you have all had time to tat!!! :)

Tollway tatting fun!!! :) & updates

I was able to join all the wonderful ladies at
Tollway Tatters again.  We had a great time, and...
there was actually plenty of tatting getting done.  ;)
Diane(Queen of Ice Drops) is working on Ice Drop
animals-test tatting for a new book Wally Sosa is
putting together.  They are so cute!!!  :)
Updates:  I am still working on Cathedral doilies!!
The twins are at row 12(well, the one on the left is
is almost done with row 13) of 33.
The larger doily on the right is now done with row
25 of 33. In size 40 this is getting pretty good
sized as you can see by the piece of paper it's on.
I also have 1 of 3 angels done for an order.
I am going to do my best to have several colors
made up so if she may choose if she wants them
the same of different colors.
Those are our daughter's angels in the
cabinet behind.
Have a blessed day and may you
enjoy some tatting too!!! :)

Yes, I have been tatting.

I am still working on the twin Cathedral
Doilies, and my Cathedral Doily, as well
as 3 Cathedral Angels.
The top left Rainbow Taffy Cathedral
Doily has row 12 done, the top right
has row 11 done, the little tatted piece
on the right side is the start to the first
angel's wings, and my Cathedral Doily
is on row 24.
Remember, these are Elaine P. Gan's
designs.
It's all a bit slow lately, but I continue
tatting onward!!
Have a wonderful day, hopefully filled
with tatting!!! :)

A Test-Tatted Angel

Same angel 3 different surroundings.
She is tatted in size 80 Lizbeth Summer Fun.
This is another Elaine P. Gan design.
She's named the Cathedral Angel since
she is made from the Cathedral Doily design.
She's about 2 inches tall.
And she turned out pretty good for a first try.
Still working on the twin doilies only about 1/2
way around 1 on row 11.
Have a wonderful day!!  :)
