Time to catch up on what's been happening here.

Our daughter, Sarah, and I were at our first craft
show of this year.  Here she is with all her items(tons!).
Everything in this picture up to the little Christmas
tree on the left.
Below is my large Christmas tree with the larger
Pop Top Ice Drop ornaments, and small space of
jewelry(plus my in-progress forever tatted tablecloth).
And below is my small tree with small Pop Top
Ice Drop ornaments, Christmas button ornaments,
and mirror ornaments.

These young girls who were at the craft show before,
were back and selling ribbon wrapped candy cane
wreaths.  I wanted to support them, and got this fabulous
snowflake candy cane wreath.
A lady at the craft show was admiring my tatting
and told me how she used to crochet angel tree
toppers.  I was so curious how big size 3 thread
would make the Cathedral  Angel(by Elaine P. Gan)
that I tried it.  I don't have a correct head, but tried a
couple to see. This is the largest bead I have(too small).
This is one of my mirror ornaments, great size,
but too flat.
Below shows the difference in sizes.  First is size 3,
second is size 40, then size 20.
And, I wanted to embellish this beautiful agate slice
with tatting.  I like how it turned out.  :)  Next is to
tat a chain.
And, I tatted 2 snowflakes to use as earrings.
This pattern is #8 from 4 Dozen
Tatted Snowflakes from Robin Perfetti.
So, you are all caught up here!! ;)
Have a wonderful tatting filled day and
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!! :)

Tatting Books, Craft Show, teen girls

Saturday was the last craft show for this year for me.
I had my friend, Peggy, join me.  She knits dishcloths
with pictures or patterns, and scarves, and she crochets
towel tops, and even knits some patterned dishcloths
to match some of the towels for a set.
Next, was my friend, Mary Anne(said more like Marianna),
who makes these adorable dolls, and "doll" jewelry stands.
Of course I was there...
And our daughter, Sarah, joined me again.  She had
some of her Christmas wreaths and a few autumn
centerpieces along.
A lady came by our booth last year and said she
wished she had known I would be there with tatting
because she had some tatting books and would have
given them to me.  Well, at the craft show a lady came
by and said "I have something for you."  And I said,
you do??  and she said "I saw you last year and told
you I have tatting books and that I would have given
them to you.  I have them out in my car and will get
them after seeing what else is here."  I was shocked
when she came back with an arm load of books!!!
This is the whole pile spread out.
I have all the ones in the picture below already, so
these will go to help other tatters.
I don't have these below, so they will hang around.
Our older granddaughter and her best friend came and
spent the weekend entertaining us and helping with the
craft show.  I was serenaded by a flute duet, and had
wresting, tickling, and handshake matches going on.
Lots of fun and cocoa!!!!!

It was a very busy and eventful weekend!!!
Hope you had a great weekend filled with lots of
love and tatting!!! :)

Tatting, Granddaughter, Craft Show, Tatting, Weather

I got the last 2 Ice Drops turned into
suncatchers and ready for the Craft Show.

Our granddaughter came to help with the Craft Show.
But, while bored Friday she decided to message
herself from Grandpa's laptop to her IPad down on
her left there.  Crazy kid(yep, my dad would say
she is just like me)  ;)
Saturday morning started super early with her
requirement of Grandma's coffecake and homemade
cocoa, then pack up and get to the Craft Show!!
She helped set up so well, and so quickly I told her
she is hired!!!
We didn't sell much, but had a pretty good time!
How could anyone resist that sales person below??  :)
She told me Friday she wanted a small doily like
the ones I am working on(as if I need another one).
But a Grandma has to share tatting with her grand-
child if they request it!!
So, she chose Lizbeth size 40 Island Breeze and
I got right to work. Friday night I completed the
first 5 rows....
and I tatted during the craft show and all the rest
of the day and completed the 10 rows I hoped to
get done.  And Sunday morning I sewed in the ends
and she was able to take it home with her.
We had a mid April snowstorm and this was around
2:30pm just down the street Tulips were blooming
and here they are covered in snow-not sure they will
make it, but they have surprised me before(these are
early Tulips).
 This was earlier.
 This was last night.
This is around 1pm this afternoon.  What a difference
less than 12 hours can make!!!
Have a fabulous day!!!!

Craft Show pictures

The weather was nice and there were lots of nice
people, but not quite so many customers.  As a
matter of fact...no sales for me-oh well, in 3 weeks
I try again.  ;)
 Close-up.
 Another.
 Another.
 Final.
I wrote about our daughter attending Pirate events
and wanting to take some of my tatting to their next
event to place on their vending table.
Well, at the last event she received this shell pendant
and she figured I could add tatting, so I did.
 Here is the full necklace..
 Here is the close-up.
It's tatted in Lizbeth size 40 Raspberry
Frappe with little cream colored beads.
If you catch the shell at just the right
angle you will see a glimmer of pink so
that is why we chose(yep, our daughter
is my color consultant) this colorway.
I think it turned out really well, and she
is going to take it with other tatted pieces
next weekend to her next Pirate event and
see if they sell.  :)
Hope you have a fabulous tatting filled
weekend!! :)

I think I am ready for the Craft Show

A few more angels and a bracelet.
And, our daughter is part of a Pirate thing(not sure
what exactly it is, but they hold events and dress up)
She has an event which has vending in it and the
group she is with has a table and she has told them
about my tatting and has been ok'd to bring some to
see if it sells.  She wants me to prepare some items
for a big one sometime in the summer and her
suggestions have been slave bracelets and cuff
bracelets, plus my normal stuff.  Now to fit all that
in with a move this summer-YIKES!!  ;)
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!

Yes, I am still here and have been tatting.

I got a sweet e-mail from Stephanie wondering if
everything was ok since I haven't posted in awhile.
I have been preparing for 2 Craft Shows-one this
Saturday, and another Apr. 13th.
I had this choker done, but needed a way to make
it adjustable and couldn't find anything so I decided
to tat a split ring chain to use.  Ends sewn in and
it's already for packaging.
Next, I had the center of this necklace done also,
but....again a chain was needed and a way for it
to be adjustable, so tatting to the rescue.
Close-up of the beads in the centers.
And, I wanted to tat Jane's Bookmark as a bracelet
and ran short on thread so just finished with a split
ring tail to make it adjustable.  Tatted in size 40
Lizbeth Niagara Falls.
Pattern link here:
*Twin Doily Update: the 2 Rainbow Taffy Cathedral
doilies I have been tatting since last year are on row
25, and the first one I started is at row 28(I believe).
And the tablecloth is accumulating motifs from time
to time.
I am not sure how much tatting will be done through
the spring because we are in a search for a new place
to live and have to move before the end of June.
Will post whatever I can, but just know, I am not giving
up tatting!!!

A Second Craft Show

Saturday I was able to participate in another
Craft Show.  My husband, daughter and friend
were all there to help(so thankful for that!!).
The tables were fully loaded with things.
Pictured below is the "front" table with mostly
tatted items.
Next is the side table with items made by our
friends.
A close-up view of our Christmas tree
displaying tatted angels, Ice Drops,
and a few snowflakes.
Next, is mostly tatted jewelry, and a
few bookmarks.
A better view of the center of the table.
Our daughter convinced me to sell some of my
ornaments with tatting on them(so hard to part
with!!!).
We had a great day!!  I already have the information
for 2 of the Craft Shows to join in next year, and am
working on getting information for at least 4 more.
Have a wonderful day!!!  :)

First Craft Show done

Well, we made it through our first Craft Show.
The Craft Show itself was a first also so it wasn't
as big as many had hoped, but I am ok with that.
Here is our front display table.
Below is our side table(luckily there was room).
Our friend does knitting and she brought some,
another friend makes wooden keepsake boxes,
and our daughter brought some of her books.
Oh, and the rack was large enough to display
a Christmas wreath on each side(the blue one
sold).
And, we had the only touch of Christmas
I saw, but it was the best way to display
the tatted angels and Christmas Ice Drops.
Since we didn't figure on having electricity
we used battery powered fairy lights.
For a double first I think we did well.
Hope you had a fabulous weekend and
got your tatting in!!! :)
Now back to tatting work because I also
received an order for 3 angels(one of
which I had to order the thread this morning
because she wants a purple angel.
