EILEEN STAFFORD BlueDoily

In size 20 Lizbeth Red Burst.  It is about 5 1/2 inches
across.  This is all six rounds in the pattern, but I agree
with the designer that it seems to not be finished so I
am going to try and add more rows.  Not sure how
many, but at least 2.
The 5th & 6th rows have caused some ruffling, but I
believe if I was able to block it that it would lay flat.
I showed a couple of our daughter's yoyos and the
pumpkins inspired by the yoyos.  Well, here are a
few things she has created with them, and she would
appreciate some thoughts and comments from you.
Do you like them?  Would you consider purchasing
something like them(not expecting you to buy them-
she is asking to see if she should consider putting them
in the craft shows with me)??  Thank you for all honest
thoughts!!
First, a Harvest Basket:

Next,  pumpkins:

Next, a pumpkin centerpiece:
Image may contain: flower and plant

So, it's autumn around here and we are "growing"
a pumpkin patch.  ;)
I hope you had a wonderful day(or are having),
and hopefully getting tatting in!!! :)

Just finished the tatting part of this doily-next, sew in ends forever.
It's called Little Round Doily and is about 5 inches across(yep, little).

https://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org/pub/PDF/J-WB146.pdf
It's tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Snow White and Coral Splash.
And just to make you all laugh....
my hubby just asked me if I could tat a 12 inch doily in 3 hours.
-----ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
Yep, just shows what he knows!!!
Happy Tatting everyone!!!  :)

Tatted a snowflake & earrings

I tatted this snowflake in size 20 Lizbeth Snow White.
Love the snowflake!!!  Missed a join, but will sew
it together later.
What a way to start autumn with a snowflake!!  ;)

I saw some earrings somewhere online and they inspired
me so I decided to try and tat something similar
(no pattern or picture just remembering). Well, I did the
first part and thought they needed something more so
I added a round of chains and I like them. They are tatted
in size 40 Lizbeth Juicy Watermelon with tiny black beads
(to represent watermelon seeds).
First picture, the inspiration pair, second my addition, and third for size.

Have a great day!!  :)
Oh, update for those following our housing/land
situation.  According to others our cement is laid
for the foundation.  And, according to the mobile
home dealers the house is scheduled to be delivered
Oct. 1, and supposedly there is a chance that we can
move in on Oct. 19(we shall see).

Keeping busy to avoid boredom!!!

Quite a long time ago I was gifted this
beautiful large plastic bead.  I was also
gifted this thread(at a separate time), and
it seemed to go well with the bead.  Well,
I had made several attempts to add tatting
to the bead, but it's super slippery and I
just could not do it.  So...the thread and
bead have sat together ever since.  Well,
while searching for other things in the
storage unit, I got into the "Ice Drop"
cart and found the two sitting in one
of the drawers.  Well....nothing much
else productive to do in this hotel room,
so I thought I would try again, and...
I got it!!!  Our daughter loves it too!
It's Lizbeth size 20 Red Burst.
This next item has a similar story and
was in the same drawer.  It's a button
which matched this fabulous Lizbeth
size 40 Salmon Med.
Just using up thread and made a little
motif to add to a fabric yoyo.  It's inter-
laced rings(very hard to see) with white
beads.
Emptying the final thread off that shuttle
and have some tiny things to add to
fabric yoyos.
Here is the group below.  Size comparison with a
standard Clover shuttle.
It's tatted with double sewing thread for the rings and
the chain has single thread around the shuttle
thread.  I was hoping it would be big enough for
our daughter's fabric yoyo pumpkins, but... not at
all.  See the dime??  At least it looked like the
pattern!!!  ;)
Working on a small doily.  Have 10 medallions to
tat for the outer round, but the center is done.
Have a wonderful night and great tatting time!!!  :)

Plenty to show tonight

Here is the mat that I started.  I need to sew in the
ends and block it, but it's done!! :)
Here it is on the printer paper to show size.
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Falling Leaves.
The tiny doily is done.  It's 4 inches across in
size 40 Lizbeth Orange Crush.
Here it is on the pocket notebook for size.
I have a friend who makes fabric yoyos for her
sister and niece for projects.  I thought it would
be cool to make some yoyos, add tatting and put
on barrettes or headbands.  Well, since there isn't
much to do here, I asked our daughter to help me
and she did all these after I showed her how to do
the first, and then she was inspired with project
ideas of her own, so, you may see the finished
ideas soon.  ;)
 I made the yoyos below.
She left me have one of hers for this
Ice Drop embellishment.
I emptied shuttles making small motifs to add to
some of the yoyos.
Today, our daughter, Sarah, made these 2 yoyo
pumpkins(and another later).  Super cute.  Later
when I get access to my tatting threads, I will tat
leaves for them.
Then I tatted a snowflake. I found the pattern when
searching google and it came from pinterest.  The
designer is DorARTthea.
And today I tatted this angel by designer Nicola
Gooday Bowersox at Just-Tatting on Facebook.
It's called Julie's Angel.
Hope you all have had a great day!!!
Happy Tatting all!!! :)

Another row on the tiny doily.

2 more rows to go on this.
As you can see, it's still small!!!

Have a fabulous tatting day!!!  :)

Started a doily pattern....

I wanted a small doily, but I think this will end up
a coaster.  ;)
Tatted in Lizbeth size 40 Orange Crush
Pattern name and location are on top of the page
it's sitting on.  It's on a pocket notebook to show
size so far.  Another row or 2 to go yet.
someone on Just Tatting the Facebook group shared
her finished doily and this link.
Hope you have a great day and get some tatting in!!!
:)

Square 3 of 4 added to the mat, and a new idea in progress.

The mat is getting close to getting completed.
Could be a day or two depending on what life
throws my way.
I figured out that I mess up tons more when I
am in the process of joining one to another so...
this last one has more joins and WILL get full
attention!!!
And....I needed a color change in the middle so...
I started another idea and guess what it includes...
of course, Ice Drops.  So, this is how far I got today
before I decided that I needed to get that square
done today.  I will keep you posted as the project
progresses and hopefully works!
Oh, this is the basic pattern, but I think it's been so
long that I got my chains mixed up, but I like
the look so I am keeping it this way.  ;)
I hope you had a great day and got your tatting in!!
:)

Square 2 added to my mat

Tatting it in size 40 Lizbeth Falling Leaves.
I want to add 2 more and make it a square.   Not
sure I could handle adding more.  It's a challenge.
Below shows that it's just a bit larger than the 3in. x 5in.
pocket notebook.
I have just a bit left on one shuttle so...
I may just tat another pair of Maple Leaf earrings
to take a small break from this and also to use up that
thread before I have to add more.
Have a wonderful night and a great tatting day tomorrow!! :)

Working on my first tatted mat

Working on a very challenging pattern(for me!!).
I think I should be a master at "un-tatting".
First picture to show it up close, second picture is to
show size, it's on a pocket notebook which is 3in. x 5in.
Tatting in size 40 Lizbeth Falling Leaves thread.
Pattern: http://plant.mints.ne.jp/takara/tatting/Azulejo200.pdf
I tried to tat from the computer, but I am better if
I have it printed or written out so I can place
something under each line a I tat, and then I used
the computer and placed the mouse on the area
I am working on the diagram.Think I will keep this small,
so planning on adding 3 more to it.
It looks easy enough, but my mind seems
to struggle a lot working it!!
For those following our house/land situation-
there is now a septic system finally installed,
but otherwise it is still bare land.
Hope you are getting in tatting and having
a great day!!!  :)

Saw this video a couple of times now and had
to share.  I have enough trouble tatting while
seeing, I can't imagine tatting all the beautiful
