Can you guess....

What I am tatting???  ;)
Our daughter got me a cheap "spirograph" from the
dollar store for Christmas and I played a bit.  I made
a Christmas wreath(on the top right-below) and just
random other designs.

The tatting above is almost complete now, but I have
a project in mind and am not feeling well enough to
finish it today, so...just wait and see.
Have a wonderful tatting filled day!!! :)

"Playing" with Treble Tatting today

Not what I thought I would tat, but I like the design.
It needs work, but we shall see if this is the end or
not.  ;)
Hoping your day is filled with love and tatting!!! :)

A tiny variation

I wanted to tat another angel ring-
pattern here:  http://westpinecreations.blogspot.com/2017/10/pattern.html
I changed it just a bit.
Love how pretty it is in person!!!
Have a fabulous Christmas!!!

Tatting here, Tatting there.....

Tatting, tatting everywhere!!!!
Ok, so I am back into tatting!!!
I started last night while "in" the Online Tatting
Design Class, working on my design project at my
computer desk(it was a change since I tat sitting on
the floor).  ;)
Info for this project will come later.
I also have several tatting supplies next to the couch...
and at the other end of the couch...
and last night I added more to the everywhere which
is right in front of the Christmas tree.
I need 3 crosses for seniors on Sunday nights.  I ask
them their favorite color and do my best to surprise
them with a cross in a variegated thread with that
color, but this is a first-one man's favorite color is
black(small cross on the right side near the tree
skirt).  ;)  I have a pink cross and a blue cross to
tat next.
I love "tatted" shadows!!!  This is a clear glass
ornament tatted in Lizbeth Christmas Delight.  I
was tatting by cell phone flashlight when I noticed
this fabulous shadow!!  ;)
And this pretty shadow of a metal snowflake
ornament I have.  I think some day I may try to
tat that whole design.  ;)
Well, got lots to do today, so have a wonderful day
and get some tatting in, maybe even some
everywhere!!! :)

Tatting Books, Craft Show, teen girls

Saturday was the last craft show for this year for me.
I had my friend, Peggy, join me.  She knits dishcloths
with pictures or patterns, and scarves, and she crochets
towel tops, and even knits some patterned dishcloths
to match some of the towels for a set.
Next, was my friend, Mary Anne(said more like Marianna),
who makes these adorable dolls, and "doll" jewelry stands.
Of course I was there...
And our daughter, Sarah, joined me again.  She had
some of her Christmas wreaths and a few autumn
centerpieces along.
A lady came by our booth last year and said she
wished she had known I would be there with tatting
because she had some tatting books and would have
given them to me.  Well, at the craft show a lady came
by and said "I have something for you."  And I said,
you do??  and she said "I saw you last year and told
you I have tatting books and that I would have given
them to you.  I have them out in my car and will get
them after seeing what else is here."  I was shocked
when she came back with an arm load of books!!!
This is the whole pile spread out.
I have all the ones in the picture below already, so
these will go to help other tatters.
I don't have these below, so they will hang around.
Our older granddaughter and her best friend came and
spent the weekend entertaining us and helping with the
craft show.  I was serenaded by a flute duet, and had
wresting, tickling, and handshake matches going on.
Lots of fun and cocoa!!!!!

It was a very busy and eventful weekend!!!
Hope you had a great weekend filled with lots of
love and tatting!!! :)

FINALLY Tatting to show(just one)

I actually tatted last night while watching
a new Hallmark movie.
This is Camilla from the book Tatted Bookmarks
- cross-shaped by Lene Bjorn.
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Sea Island Citrus.
It's for another one of our Sunday night seniors.
Still settling into the new house and probably
will until next year some time.  I have a ton
of stuff!!!  ;)
Have a fabulous tatting time!!!  :)

In the new house, and.....

Some space to live and move, a huge relief from the
hotel room!!!
No, not done and this isn't finished, just live-able.
We moved as much as possible Sunday and went
to bed at 10:30pm with no snow, but woke Monday
morning at 8am to 4-6 inches.
And then woke Tuesday morning at 8am to about
2 ft. of snow.  The buried vehicle has sat since
Sunday night when we got here.  the vehicle behind
has about a foot of snow because hubby got in from
work at 3am Tues. morning.  It snowed almost all
day, and I shoved for about an hour and a half while
hubby slept, but he woke up and had to find a plow
to clear the drive so he could get to work(the main
street wasn't even plowed).  He said there was so much
snow on the road and in the drive that the suburban
was pushing snow like a plow(and it was stuck in the
morning and had to get pushed out by the plow).
I tried to open the door and see how deep the snow was
and it wouldn't go any farther than this,  and when I
closed it, it brought snow inside.
It looked like we had a 2nd propane tank sitting
on ours.
And wow!  Look at all the snow on the air conditioner!!
That's me making my way through knee deep snow to
try and clean off the vehicles so that we could TRY
and move them for the plow to clear the driveway.
Hopefully soon I will have tatting to show, but first
I NEED to make sure to find a place for most if not
everything!!!!  ;)
Happy Tatting!!!  :)

Housing update:

Ok everyone, it's insanity time!!!
Looks like we might be moving on Sunday.
We are waiting for the certificate of occupancy.
As you can see in the pictures they have work left
to finish, but we are being told we might be moving
this weekend, but....I have a craft show Saturday.
First picture, the livingroom.
Second picture the kitchen(slight view of the
familyroom off to the right).
Next picture is the design piece I am working on for
the Online Tatting Design Class-will be a large
tatted suncatcher-beads will be added when I tat
it all over, I am just designing first(in size 3 thread).
Next, I got our daughter started in crafting about 2
months ago and she has really gone crazy and created
a pumpkin patch to sell, and other items I have
previously shown.  Well, I took my hand at it and
made this candy cane "wreath" last night.  I love
it!!!
Below is a close-up to show the adorable
snowmen(my favorite), and I have an
order for one already(beside I want one!).
Our daughter created this lighted wall pumpkin.
It's not lit in this picture, but it looks great both
lit and unlit. It's more of a contemporary style-
not my thing, but it does look great!
Just letting you know that I am not sure when I will
be back online.  The internet is supposed to be installed
on Monday, but....so far nothing has happened
when it was supposed to, so I am prepared to
be offline for up to 2 weeks, so you maybe
not hear from me(plus moving takes tons of
time), or you may get a surprise!
Happy tatting!!!  :)
Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement!!!

Working on tatting

Well, I thought I was doing pretty good, half way around
but the ruffling is way too much!!
This is in Lizbeth size 3 Snow White.
So I started to cut it off, but then snipped a thread
from the previous row and had no way to fix it, and
since that row had a continuous mistake in it, I figured
it was meant to be, so two rows to start over.
Today I needed a change so I decided to tat an Ice Drop.
Tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Coral Splash.  Just made up
the design as I tatted.
For those who are wondering, nope, not in the house
yet.
Have a wonderful tatting day!!! :)

Tatting and house update.

I have tatted Yarnplayer's Arches doily before(here:
and loved it.  Although, I tatted it in size 40 then and
now in size 20-Lizbeth Coral Splash and Snow
White.
Just to let everyone know the white row which looks
bunched does have overlapping under the large rings
and it happened in the first one I tatted also.
 Next, I tatted Yarnplayer's Snowflake-pattern here:
https://www.keepandshare.com/doc/8193376/tatted-star-and-snowflake-pdf-843k?da=y
I have been working slowly on Ninetta's Treble Tatting
Stitch and learning!!!  I started with size 40, then
size 20, and went to the store and got size 3(very
limited selection-5 solid colors to choose from).
I think it was my best idea!!!  I think my stitches
are more even and work out much better!!
I have the first and second(small rings which didn't
close well) rows of a trial piece
tatted and think it looks pretty good.
And, just got done with this snowflake below.

As for the house....frustration is the only word I have!
It's got the cinder blocks under it and a special coating
on them and now as the picture shows the dirt is all the
way up to the house.  The inside is not done and things
have been delayed again, this time by the electric
company and the contractor.  We were told electric would
be connected to the house Nov. 1, but were just informed
that has been changed to Nov. 6 due to the contractor not
doing his job.  Oh man!!!!  It could be Christmas before
we get to move in!!!
Hope you are all doing well and having a great day
and getting your tatting fill!!  :)

Tatting along........

I tatted this cross for another senior who
recently joined our Sunday night group.
It's tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Red Burst.
Next, I wanted to empty a shuttle and tried to tat
my own tiny heart design.  It's ok in the picture, but
not to my liking.
Attempting another heart I ended up with this cute
little motif.  It kind of resembles a heart.
Now, this is so far off from what I thought I was
going to tat.  I wanted a bracelet, but when the first
round curled instead of going straight I knew it was
not a bracelet.  I tatted the second round and like it.
Then, trying for a bracelet shape again, I ended up
with a pretty bracelet!!  :)
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Coral Med.(I believe).
And, yesterday while out I found these cute turkey
buttons.  They had little signs which said pardon me
and pick him, but I only wanted the turkeys for these
fabric yoyos to put on headbands or barrettes.  Well,
our older granddaughter saw them and wanted to know
how much I wanted for them and I told her I didn't
know yet, and she claimed the bottom right one for
her own and wants it put on a pin.
Her sister has claimed one of our daughter's fabric
pumpkins already.
Well, it's been a long day after a super long sleepless
night and we have to be up in less than 8 hours.  I
am going to try and find sleep again.
Have a wonderful day or night wherever you are,
and get your tatting in!! :)
