More test tatting accomplished, Oh and twins!!

This is another Elaine P. Gan creation.  It's her
Oxalis Choker.  Tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Summer
Fun and Snow White.
A close-up view below to show the 4mm beads too.
And today we received a couple more items for
test tatting and of course, I had to tat the cross.
This one tats up fairly quick!  It's called Different
Cross.  Tatted in size 40 HDT from Tat-i-licious
called Blue Ridge.
And, 4 days in a row this week we have had deer
sightings in our yard.  I was so excited to spot 2
and then even more excited when I saw they are
twins and mama was there too.
They came all the way down that path to our yard
and paused nicely for a picture....
then mama came out front to check out the area,
and then they headed toward the back of our property
line, but something spooked them so they darted into
the woods you see behind them.

Hope your Friday has been filled with tatting and
maybe some excitement!!! :)
Happy Saturday tatting everyone!!! :)

Yes, I am still here and have been tatting.

I got a sweet e-mail from Stephanie wondering if
everything was ok since I haven't posted in awhile.
I have been preparing for 2 Craft Shows-one this
Saturday, and another Apr. 13th.
I had this choker done, but needed a way to make
it adjustable and couldn't find anything so I decided
to tat a split ring chain to use.  Ends sewn in and
it's already for packaging.
Next, I had the center of this necklace done also,
but....again a chain was needed and a way for it
to be adjustable, so tatting to the rescue.
Close-up of the beads in the centers.
And, I wanted to tat Jane's Bookmark as a bracelet
and ran short on thread so just finished with a split
ring tail to make it adjustable.  Tatted in size 40
Lizbeth Niagara Falls.

*Twin Doily Update: the 2 Rainbow Taffy Cathedral
doilies I have been tatting since last year are on row
25, and the first one I started is at row 28(I believe).
And the tablecloth is accumulating motifs from time
to time.
I am not sure how much tatting will be done through
the spring because we are in a search for a new place
to live and have to move before the end of June.
Will post whatever I can, but just know, I am not giving
up tatting!!!

Tatting and Test Tatting

Ok, I have been in choker mode even though it's
not my thing.  Our daughter has loved the ones
I have test tatted for Elaine P. Gan and suggested
I tat more.
Also, I was invited to a March Craft
Show and my family has encouraged me to go.
So....I thought about the Spiral Bookmark pattern
as a choker for teens.  Pattern link here:
https://www.scribd.com/doc/7305076/Spiral-Bookmark-1
Tatted in Lizbeth size 20 Ocean Teal Med. & Snow
White.
Next, I started Jane's Bookmark for another possible
choker -pattern here:
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Niagara Falls.  It is now
sitting because, while closing a ring the thread
broke and frustrated me.  ;)
This is my tatting spot on the livingroom floor
gaining more and more tatting stuff(I NEED to put
some away!!!).  In the center of the picture are the
2 Rainbow Taffy Cathedral Doilies I am tatting.
They are now each ready for row 22 of 33.
And, I have been test tatting for Elaine P. Gan
(she has a blog now-  https://mytattingbox.blogspot.com/ )
again.  To start I tatted her Simple Heart Earrings
(without the decorative picots) in size 20 Lizbeth
Ocean Teal Med.
Then, Gifted Earring(I only did one) in size 20
Lizbeth Snow White.
Then Acorn Earring(I only did one).
Now this one is not complete.  I missed
tatting the top chain because I was
watching Kids Baking Championship
with our daughter and got a tad
distracted just before the end of the
pattern.  Our daughter thinks this looks
like a fancy Victorian heart.  ;)
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Elderberry Jam.
And, then I tatted Tear Drop Earring.
I think I love the Acorn and Tear Drop
Earrings best so far!!!  :)
This is tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Snow
White.
I am test tatting the earrings using up
thread on shuttles to clear a bunch of shuttles.
I hope you are tatting productively
especially if you are stuck inside in the
frigid temps some of us are experiencing.
Have a wonderful and warm tatting day!!! :)
***********
Just finished another test tatted earring.
This one is the Exquisite Earring.
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Black.

A red and gold choker

It's too long for the scanner, but I get a much
clearer picture from the scanner.
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Christmas Red with
gold beads.
It's one of the Elaine P. Gan designs.
Happy Tatting!!!
For those in the frigid temps, stay safe and warm!!!

Twin doily update and Test tatting chokers

Both twin doilies have row 20 of 33 done now.
On to row 21 and hoping to make better progress
on them.
I have also been test tatting and posting some of it,
but I wanted to make sure you know that I am
tatting.  ;)
Elaine P. Gan has choker patterns for us to test tat
and I have been working on them a lot.
I did the blue one, and then the same pattern in
black with red beads, and then dark purple with
silver beads(all of the 3 bottom chokers are the
same pattern).
Then I test tatted the middle one in dark purple
only because the the thread was on the shuttle already,
and then the top one(still in progress), again in dark
purple because it was on the shuttle, but I also
added clear beads.
I wanted a way to package them without folding
the lace so I came up with a piece of card stock
which I cut 2 slits in and connected them to make
a ring which I wrapped the choker around twice
and connected it.  I believe this will be a good way
to package them.
I have also added a few more motifs to the tablecloth,
but not enough to show any real progress.
Hope you have a wonderful day filled with tatting!!! :)

Test Tatted Choker necklace

I test tatted this for Elaine P. Gan.
It's in size 40 Lizbeth thread with white beads.
I need to straighten the flowers!
 Below is the full choker.
 Below is a close-up.
Merry Christmas everyone!!! :)
