This is Ninetta's Quad # 5 pattern here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/ninettacaruso/9891241133/in/photostream/
It's tatted in size 20 Sugar Plum HDT from Tat-ilicious and Lizbeth Lilac Med.
This is a challenge piece to me because these dimpled rings are terrible for me when closing.
They turned out pretty good here and I like how you can see the hearts well in this pattern!!
So, I got a little Valentine's Day tatting in. :)
Oh, I do need to let you know that I added rings to 2 sides which the pattern shows only picots, but I wanted it to be the same all the way around on this one.
I have also been doing a little test tatting for Elaine P. Gan again. Working on a cross which is made from 6 squares. I only have 2 completed and joined so far, but here is the first square by itself.
Have a great tatting day!! :)

Both lovely.
I have trouble with dimpled rings. I'll get one to look good, and the rest look terrible. Yours look wonderful!
Thank you Fox!! :)
Thank you Diane!! :) I have trouble with them too and I was worried, but I tried to keep these a little loose and.... I think they are better because these are quite large rings 12-10-5-5 5-5-10-12 (the gap in the middle is the fold for the dimple. They are still a challenge though. :)
The Quad 5 & dimpled rings are perfect ! Now I feel inspired to tat it, though it won't be in such gorgeous colours.
Looking forward to the cross. This square also uses the magic square progression beautifully !
Thank you muskaan!!! :)
I don't know the magic square progression, so I guess that is something I need to learn. :)
Your hearts look perfect! I like the little rings at all sides, the motif is just beautiful and you tatted great dimpled rings! in my pattern the little rings were just linking elements between motifs, that's why I put them in only 2 sides.
Well done for conquering the dimpled rings! The square is lovely in that thread, perfect for Valentine's day. I look forward to seeing the completed cross.
Lovely square pattern and I like the way you added the rings instead of the picots.
I look forward to seeing the cross from that pattern
Margaret
Your works are always beautiful!
Thank you all very much!! :)
Ninetta, I realized that and knew that I wasn't going to have enough thread to join others so I just made it this way, but if I get a chance to do it again with other thread, I do want to join several and then I will leave out the others. :)
