It is looking fantastic -- oh, so FINE! Your approach is a winning one, just take it slow and you will be enjoying the tatting (instead of cursing the unpicking/retro tatting/ tonking).
Your Curds and Whey looks lovely in Lady Shuttlemaker's HDT. I'll take your advice and start taking it slower. I've been using her HDT in Fall from Ben Fikkert's A Tatting Adventure. It'd be done if I'd gone slower and omitted the unpicking! Karen in OR
