Another Frosty the Snowman Pop Top Drop

I love this one and it's mine.  I don't think I will
tat another!!
Jean Inglis created the outer design for an Ice Drop
and the pattern is in the Files in Ice Drop Addicts
on facebook.  Her design actually has 2 rows and
it's called Wee Snowballs.
I figured it had to be tatted for Frosty cuz' snowmen
are made from snowballs.
I don't plan on doing another cuz' these are the best
Josephine Knots that I have ever done and I don't
want to do anymore!!!
Hope you are all having a tatting filled week!! :)

Pop Top Drop #4

2 views same drop.
I wasn't sure what to do for this one, but had
some thoughts and just tatted.  I like it, but I
don't love it.  I think the outer chains need to
have a few more stitches to look nicer, but
it's done for now.  ;)
Again tatted in size 40 Lizbeth(light blue).
I thought I would do so much more tatting sitting,
but pain is distracting and has kept me from even
sleeping well, so tatting gets done from time to time
just like everything else.
Hope you are having a fabulous weekend with
tatting!!! :)

Enjoying Pop Top Ice Drops!!!

I tatted another pop top drop ornament. It's a bit ruffly
and will need to be blocked(flattened), but I like it!
Still working on healing and tatting. One more
pop top in this set to tat.
Hope your new year is starting well and giving
you tatting time!!! :)

Pop Top Ice Drop # 2

I had an idea, tried it, and after the first 2 repeats
thought I wouldn't like it and almost cut it off, but
I decided to continue and see and I like it!!  ;)
Size 40 Lizbeth (I still don't have the color and it's
still rough to get around 2 weeks after my fall).
Our daughter gave me a beautiful cross necklace
for Christmas and since I had to sit so much, I
thought I could "draw" a design of it for possible
tatting.  We shall see if I get around to actually
trying to tat it.  ;)
I am also working on the Christmas doily,
but it's more of an I choose to ignore project
because before Christmas I spent hours un-tatting
approx. 6-8 inches.  So glad it's in size 10!!!
Have a wonderful week and don't forget to
tat something!!  ;)

Frosty the Snowman Pop Top Ice Drop!!!

I saw a set of 4 Frosty image bottle caps on Etsy and
fell in love with how awesome they looked.  They
are a good price at 4 for $3.  I was able to order 4 sets.
And today while having to have my leg up I worked
on the first one.  I love it!!!
Size 40 Lizbeth thread.  I would give the number
since it came in a specialty pack with no names on
the threads, but it's a walk to get it so, just know it's
a beautiful light blue!!  ;)
I have to do 3 more to have the set done, but that
will take some time.
Have a wonderful tatting filled day!! :)

Glutton for Punishment

Yes, that is kind of what I have named this Pop Top
Ice Drop.  :)
Round and Round we go is another good name!!!
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Lime Green Med.
My own design.  I love the look, just wish each row of
my chains were all even.  I made them to gradually
go down a size to give a slight swirl effect.  The
chains on the left side show best what I was hoping
for.
Have a great tatting day and don't miss the post
before this.  ;)

More Pop Top Ice Drops

I am enjoying tatting something for myself.....
well, our daughter requested this one.
Same as the first Diane's pattern from Ice Drop
Addicts on facebook.
This time in Lizbeth size 40 Blue Ice.
Next, I wanted to get to only 6 rings and chains so
I used my largest picot gauge in my set, and still
couldn't get only 6.  I got it down to 8 so I think I
am giving up and just enjoying whatever.  I also
didn't want to do any more SCMRs(laziness!!!), so
I just tatted chains and then put a large picot in place
of the SCMRs.  Cute enough.  ;)
This one is in Lizbeth size 20 Christmas Delight.
I hope you are having a good day and getting ready
for Thanksgiving!!! :)
Time to get things done around here! Have a great
tatting day!!! :)

Starting another Pop Top Ice Drop and my first knitted blanket done!!!!

Our daughter loved that last Pop Top Ice Drop and
wanted one in red, white and green for Christmas.
All I had was size 20, so I have made the start, but
considering the thread is larger I thought there would
be less rings, but instead there is one more.  I am
using Diane's stitch count this time and it should
have only 6 rings, but I guess I can't read or some-
thing.  ;)
Either way, it's looking good.  I actually already
have 4 outer points done.
Also, she wanted another one done in Lizbeth Blue
Ice and it's already in slow process in size 40.  ;)

For those who might have wondered about my
knitted blanket.....Ummmm...you can tell I know
nothing of knitting and that as a beginner I go BIG!!!!!
When Sarah started this many years ago we searched
and most afghans were 150 stitches across, so since
I wanted a large blanket not a silly throw or afghan.
We decided 300 stitches would double the width and
make a blanket. Well, I guess the math doesn't work
out with knitting cuz' the finished blanket is 5ft. 7in.
and almost 16 feet wide. Now, I wish it was "taller"
and less wide, but....we now know.
At least I will be warm!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are the pictures of it folded in half and extra on
our queen sized bed. I sleep on the right side and you
can see it has a pile of blankets on it, but I think this may solve
the pile.

It's a challenge to fold!!!!

Tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Christmas Delight. I don't know
how with the larger size thread I ended up with one more
ring than the last one tatted in size 40, and still both
having double or more than the pattern which has only 6.
I can't wait for our daughter to see it since it's hers by request.
And 2nd picture is side by side with the first one.
3rd picture to show another request in progress.
I hope you are have a wonderful Sunday and
getting tatting in!! :)

A Pop Top Ice Drop(after so very, very long)

Still tatting along!  I am loving making things
just for me!!! :)
This is Diane's Pop Top Ice Drop pattern from
Ice Drop Addicts on facebook.
It's tatted with a major alteration since it's in
size 40 Lizbeth Christmas Green Mix.
Diane's has 6 points, but this one has 12, and
our daughter loves it so much she wanted one
in Christmas Delight(red, white and green), so
I had her choose which Santa, and all I have is
size 20 Christmas Delight and it already has
more points than Diane's too.
For those who know about my knitting, it's done!!
I even wove in the ends, but now it needs washing
before using!!  ;)  I will post a picture when I can.
Have a wonderful tatting filled night!!! :)

A Pop Top Drop

It's Diane's Silver Crowns Ice Drop pattern from
Ice Drop Addicts on Facebook.
A picture to show how it started.
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Salmon Med. with tiny
iridescent beads.  I love how it came out!!!
The doily and the Pop Top Drop both bring lots
of color here!!!  For the last several weeks the snow
had been melting and everything was brown, but
this morning everything is white and since my
Christmas tree is put away I really needed some
color!!!!  :)  Yay tatting!!!
Have a wonderful day with tatting!!! :)

Thanksgiving Day Tatting

Well, I had to do something while sitting and
watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade,
so I decided to try a Pop Top Drop. I used the
center of Diane's Capstar design.  It ended up a
little large and loose, but I am going to use it for
a Christmas ornament so it isn't a huge deal
(although, I could take out possibly 3 rings and
it would fit tighter then).
 Here is the back.
Then I decide to try my idea to bring the ring
count down to 6 for Diane.  I ended up with 7, but
I think I did pretty well for a first try.
And here is the back of this one.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! :)
Have a great weekend and happy tatting!! :)
