Thank you all!!! It's all a part of the design process!! I figured out that all the rings caused the bowing or ruffling-not enough room for them all. ;) I will save that part of the design(had to throw the tatted part out though) and use it for another design. ;)
My nerdy daughter asked if I'd developed a mathematical equation for figuring out design parameters. I'm sure it would be possible, but I'd rather tat up a trial piece or maybe sketch on the computer.
I am a Christian. I love God, my family, friends, and kids!
I am a stay at home wife, mother of three adult girls, and Grandmother of two beautiful girls. Married 34 yrs.
I have been tatting since 2010 and love it!! :)
I teach a Sunday morning group named Life in Christ from Spring till Autumn outdoors, and I teach a Sunday night group of seniors.

Ouch!
It's so sad when that happens. Good luck!
Raymond and I refer to those cut off bits as "tatting carnage", or "yarnage".

Ah, the proverbial Phoenix will rise! Designing and the creative process is a bit like that .... chaos before order 🥰
