My doily and tatting obsessed hubby came home unexpectedly, and I was busy with a few other things so the doily has not progressed! It will have to wait till next week now.
But....I can play or experiment(which every you want to call it) while my hubby is home, so...I did this! :) It's pretty, and I am not sure if I am calling it done or not.
It's a doodad I bought back when we were all experimenting with them a year or 2 ago. Well, I knew this one would go well with these beads and I thought Tropical Punch thread would be perfect too.
I wasn't sure exactly what I was going to do so I tried to draw something out, but believe me, this isn't even close!!! I like this a lot and am deciding if I want to or should add to it. I really think it needs more tatting!!! :)
I hope your day is peaceful and blessed, and that you accomplish some tatting, or that you get to at least play tatting! :)

Great job, incorporating the design of the tatting with the doo-dad. Very proud of you!
I like it just as it is, but I'd be interested in seeing how you would add more tatting. I love the color of the doodad!
Thank you both!! :)
West Pine Creations, thank you for that encouragement!! :) I really like they way you add tatting to so many different shapes!!!
Very pretty! When I look at the photo from far away, the doodad looks kind of like layered rings. The colors match perfectly, and I think it looks good just as it is.
I ABSOLUTELY love it!, wow, got to find me that doodad.
Thank you both very much!!! :)
Michelle, I have an extra. ;)
SOOOOO pretty! I love it!
Thank you Fox!!! :)
That's lovely as it is, can't wait to see if and how you will add a second round.
Thank you Ninetta!!! :)
I love this and got up this morning and forgot to leave a message! I love how the finding matched the thread it so perfect love it! Hugs form Carollyn
That is very pretty just as it is. I'm wondering how it will look if you add another round or two. Nice doodad, too.
Thank you both very much!!! :)
Love love love it just the way it is !!! The open chains balance out the relatively dense center. The doodad is simply gorgeous -- looks tatted :-)
Very pretty the colours blend so well with the doodad
