Cheryl's first tatted "heart"

My friend, Cheryl, has been learning to tat and last night I got to teach her how to make chains. She tatted a "chain" of rings and chains and wanted to do something special with it, so she made her husband a card and formed the "chain" into a heart and glued it to the card. She is proud of it, and I am too!!! :) Great job Cheryl!!!! I gave her her first tatting book today. It's Easy Tatting by Rozella Linden. I showed her several projects that I feel she could tat without too many problems, and I can't wait to see what she does!! :)

Cheryl did a great job! What a sweet card; however, her husband may not be aware whatay lie ahead - LOL! My husband never knew what hit him 23 years ago when I first picked up a shuttle in 1989. By 1990 I was demonstrating tatting, and just carried a small basket. Now I fill the back of the van with all my displays plus tables and linens. At one time I even had a tent! Our group still demos at least four times a year, plus I now spend hours and hours looking at tatting blogs, internet patterns and forums. Yes, indeed, she is one her way!

That is so funny Kathy!!! I have only been tatting for 3 years, but I really enjoy learning more and the blogs have been great inspiration and motivation for me, and I am going to get Cheryl on the blogs soon too. She is so excited about actually being able to make projects now. :)

Well done for encouraging a new tatter. Cheryl will go from strength to strength. Good idea to make a card and actually use the tatting.
