Pendant, and a butterfly from a Muskaan Eye Spy

I tatted this pendant right after the last one.
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Mocha Brown Med.
and some small beads.

I found a small butterfly I had tatted from
a Muskaan Eye Spy on one of the Endruck's
edgings she had worked on.  I don't think I
shared it before so here it is.  ;)

Here is a quick "pattern" for the Endruck's Edging
Butterfly(I haven't retatted it so let me know if you
tat it and find mistakes):
R 8-4-4
R 4j4-8
Ch 28
R 2j4-2
Ch 20
(bottom center)R 6, 4-6
Ch 20
R 2j4j2
Ch 28 join to center of first two rings, tie threads
and cut leaving long enough for antennae.

I hope you had a great weekend and got some tatting
done!!  Have a wonderful tatting filled week!! :)

Accidentally modified Liberty Cross and Sparkly Butterfly

I tatted this cross before and didn't mess
up, but I made a mistake in the bottom
this time.  It's shorter and just a bit
different that the original, but thankfully
it still looks good!  ;)
Oh, it's another Elaine P. Gan design.
Tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Red Burst.
I tatted a sparkly butterfly for a dear
senior who just found out she has cancer
and dementia.  I want it to brighten her
day!  She loves blue, and butterflies. I found
Jennifer Williams Butterfly Ring pattern
and tatted it in size 40 HDT from Tat-i-licious
called Blue Ridge and used clear beads for
sparkle.
I think next week I will try to tat some
butterflies to go to the project I posted in
the last post.
Happy Saturday tatting!!! :)

2015 25 Motif Challenge # 13 Celtic Butterfly

Well, it's not great and I need more lessons, but.....I tried hard and studied quite a bit.
This is supposed to be a Celtic Butterfly from Rozella Linden's Tatted Butterfly Garden book.
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Rainbow Splash and Navy.
As you can see my Celtic knots are not good(especially the one on the left wing since I had to try to tat the wing pattern backward to match it with the first wing.
The head was my doing.  Like I said when I posted for help, this book confuses me, but I love the butterflies and flowers in it!!!  :)
Well...I am making some progress on finishing last year's challenge up!  I sure hope I can get it completed, and complete one for this year too.  I have enough "I want to tat" patterns which should keep me busy while working on my other "need to get done" projects.
Have a great night everyone!!  Happy tatting!!!  :)

Just random bits....

In the middle of all my craziness lately I have not had time to show you all the goodies that have come in the last month.  My hubby got gift cards for Bass Pro Shops, so I got gift cards for Amazon.  Well, I spent them well(at least I think so).  My tatting library has grown!!
As you can see, I have 5 new(or used) tatting books, and the goodies at the bottom I picked up at Hobby Lobby while waiting on my daughter one day(she was getting her hair done).
The first 2 packages are buttons which caught my eye, but I still can't understand how 2 or 3 buttons for 80-90 cents is a clearance(oh well-they were too awesome to pass up).  And the doodads were so cool I just had to get them(and they are in colors instead of metals).
Oops, when taking the picture of the books I missed one, so....I actually have 6 new books(this one was a total rip-off though.  It looked like a large thick book in the picture and they charged me $14.99 plus $3.99 shipping for a book that is clearly marked $8.96.  But, it's a nice book and the picture on the front is what I would like to tat sometime.  :)
I started a pattern called Blue Doily because I thought the center would make an awesome suncatcher.  Here is what I have done.
I am working with the antique triangle pattern I used wayyyyyy back, and coming up with my own design out of all those triangles.  I really like the way it's turning out!!!  It's done in size 20 Lizbeth Lilac Dk., and Snow White-which has been "hand-dyed" by me with permanent fabric markers: this is Confetti.
Below is the picture of the antique triangle pattern.
And, I wanted something else to take my mind away from many things I have been doing, and this beautiful butterfly did it.  My butterfly is not right, but quite cute!!  I want to do it over and hopefully get the picot sizes right so it looks like the picture.  :)
