I missed putting a title on this post-large suncatcher!

Another of last year's challenge pieces.
This is a large suncatcher I created for a dear
friend for Christmas-who has yet to receive it,
since we didn't have Christmas this year.
A view in the window.
To get all the details go here:
This year there will be more on that blog page(hopefully).
Have a wonderful Saturday with lots of tatting hopefully!!!  :)

It took me a while to realize you have another blog where you are writing about your 'secret' projects. And when I clicked on the link I was astounded at the closeups of the amazing design of this one. You have always made eye-catching suncatcher creations, but I have looked really closely, and still can't figure out how you have attached the tatting to the ring. I don't see any threads of any kind wrapped around the brass to hold the tatting on!

This is an outstanding design, with unusual beads and great colors. A fantastic work of art! Your friend will be speechless!

Thank you both very much!!! :)
Kathy, the tatted "V"'s around the outside are what is attaching the tatting to the ring. They are tatted the same on the front and back and folded over the ring. The bottom ones which are loose should show that better. I am thinking I have to possibly re-do the outside pieces to tighten it up, but for now it's ok.
