Hopefully some new sparkle for some new suncatchers!!

I found Crackle Beads on Amazon and thought they 

might bring a great new sparkle for my suncatchers!!

There are fabulous colors and quite the variety!!

 They are glass and that proved to be a tiny problem.

 The 6mm box was broken on one corner and so were 

some of the beads.

 Here is the broken corner.

 Thankfully there was only a spiderweb looking 

crack over the pink ones!!!

Working hard to finish the twin doilies because the 

lady who requested them just had 2 mini strokes and 

she wants to give them to her daughter and I really 

don't want it to be too late!!
So...suncatchers and pretty crackle beads will be 

on hold(possibly until after we move, but I hope 

not!!!  I want to play with the pretty colors!!) :)

Tatting goodies!!!

Our daughter needed to get out of the house for a bit 

today so I suggested that we walk through Hobby Lobby 

because we haven't been there since around Christmas.

Well...they had Lizbeth threads for clearance and I spotted 

the size 80 black first, then our daughter spotted 2 of the 

size 3's and I caught the last one.  At those prices I could 

not leave them there!!!  Then I noticed the little pamphlet 

in the center of the picture which has 3 tatting patterns in it 

and it was free.  And then I had to see what was on sale in 

the beads section(TROUBLE!!!).  I found these discs(top 

left side) and the strings of beads.  Now hoping for 

inspiration after we move(not now!!!  although, tempted!!!).

 And, last night I wanted to empty a shuttle(the one used 

for our granddaughter's small doily), and I decided to 

see if there was enough thread to tat the center of the 

doily with beads as another pendant-yep!!  :)

Twins!!

The 2 Rainbow Taffy Cathedral Doilies are at 

row 10 now each.  Making progress.

 Below, I had gone to Hobby Lobby as a way to 

spend time driving our newest vehicle which we 

just got.  I found these pendants and beads at 50 % 

off and decided to buy them(there were only 3 of 

each).

 Below is a picture on the printer paper 

sideways to show the size of them.

 And, these pretty beads came home too, 

also 50% off.  Funny thing is that in person 

you see mostly pink, but in the photo you 

see mostly blue.  Wondering what they 

will embellish.....

Oh, if you want to see the vehicle...

it's older(that's the way I prefer them), but it's 

large enough to haul the 8ft. tables for the Sunday 

morning outdoor ministry, and the chairs and every 

thing else needed.  I am so thankful because the car 

didn't have enough room and could not haul the tables 

or chairs.  Feeling truly blessed because this is a 

miracle for us!!!

Well, I hope you have a wonderful weekend of tatting, 

I am taking a break(but that is HARD when you 

really want to tat!!!).

Oh well, back to making lasagna for tomorrows 

ministry meal.
