Inspired by an awesome design......still have lots of trying to get what I envision. :)

Remember this awesome bookmark from not too long ago???
Well.....being bored in my mind and needing something to change routine tonight, I sat and drew out this(although it was different in the drawing of course).  I envision something different, but so far my daughter and husband both love this!!  My daughter says it looks like a special water lily type flower that God put His print on.  I was going for a broomstick lace cross and have lots of work to achieve it, but this is quite interesting.  It's not very big..maybe about 2 inches tall.
Have a wonderful tatting time(when you can!!)!!!!  :)
And for those in the winter storm areas......stay safe and warm!!!  :)

The very long picots give an interesting effect. I think I may have to try that!

I like your thinking and thoughts on the design, may I suggest that you make the bottom longer and that way it would look more like a cross. I think you have some thing in the design and just four rings in the middle would give you a flower.
Keep up the good work

If this is what they call broomstick lace, well, I love it!!!It make me think of another type of lace: hairpin? It is very effective!!

Thank you Tally Tatty!!! :) I love it too and it seems so special somehow. I have seen hairpin lace too and was intrigued by it also, but haven't gotten to it yet. :)

Sue, I like your attempt !
Not just a water lily I can see many lovely shapes and possibilities ! For one, if you focus on the outline, it looks like a cute cuddly teddy bear :-)

I haven't yet tried this technique - although I do remember downloading a broomstick pattern.

Yes Lilas, it's very interesting keeping them in order!! :)
Thank you muskaan!! :) Hmmm...teddy bear?? :)

Like this one - Teri Dusenbury's Teddy bear mobile. http://teridusenburystattletales.blogspot.in/2014/09/pattern-of-month-club-newsletter-july.html
The head reminded me immediately of this pattern.

Or one of the pokemon characters ?
Just an abstract/stylized kind of outline ;
