This is Traditional Cross from Tatting Patterns by Lyn Morton.
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Angel's Love. As you can see I still have to sew in the ends, but I like this cross. I never tatted it before because I didn't care for the look of it in the book, but I really like the look tatted here! :)
This is a start on a test tat for Elaine P. Gan at Test Tatters. I love these colors together. They are size 40 Lizbeth Raspberry Pink Med. and Fruit Fizz. :)

The cross looks great! Sometimes it's hard to tell what will be a good pattern just from looking at the photos in a book. Nice edging too. Maybe I should make a Facebook account so I can join some of these groups. I feel like I'm missing out!
Lovely cross and very piece for Elaine, look forward to seeing what it might be?
Margaret
Love the test tat thread! Pretty tatting. : )
Thank you Robin!!! :) You should join Facebook if you have the time. The test tatters is an awesome group and they are looking for those willing to test tat patterns and for those who design who need test tatters. :)
Thank you Margaret!!! :) The pattern is for a bracelet, but I love it so much I am thinking I might make it a collar edging for a shirt of mine. :)
Thank you Fox!!! :) The colors are so great I am loving this piece!! :)
really like the colors of your test tat, it has always been my favorite thing to do to mix a solid color with a variegated one!
Thank you Madtatter80!!! :)
Both pieces are beautiful! I often find that I prefer a pattern after I've tatted it... not sure why. Maybe it's because I've put my own stamp on it.
Thank you Diane!! :)
I really love the pattern of the test tat. Where did you find the pattern?
Both pieces are great, Sue ! They look superb :-))
Thank you Lilas!!! :) The pattern is from Elaine P. Gan at Test Tatters on Facebook, she asks if anyone would be willing to test tat it for her to see if the pattern is correct and the diagram too.
Thank you muskaan!!! :)
Is it for a book, or is she selling her patterns?
Hi Lilas,
Elaine is trying to put together an e-book of patterns. She has had many people in the Test Tatters group(a private group) on Facebook working to test her patterns so she can have tested patterns put into the e-book. If you say you will test tat for her and she sends you the pattern, then you test tat the item and send her a message with comments and possible corrections on the written pattern and the diagrams and she is very appreciative and we get to keep the pattern then, but...not to distribute or copy it for others.
Yes, of course!
Thank you, Sue for these informations. There is so much tatters, and so much interesting things on the web! I had never Elaine's Facebook.
It will be interesting to test new patterns, but I have so much to do. A day can be...
