2014 25 Motif Challenge # 3

Well, I finally finished them!!  These bracelets were requested from a friend way back last July.  She wants us to have matching friendship bracelets(she has Cerebral Palsy), and asked me to make them for us.  I wanted a sturdy bracelet for her so this seemed like a good one.  It's Jane Eborall's Celtic or Overlapping Friendship Bracelet, pattern here: http://www.janeeborall.freeservers.com/CelticFriendBracelet.pdf .
I really love the colors in Jane's!!!!  :)
My friend, Krissy, loves purple and I love blue so this is what I came up with.
They are tatted in Lizbeth size 40 Lilac Dk., Caribbean, and Royal Blue.
I usually use lobster claw clasps, but she has trouble with one arm so I thought these Heart Toggle Clasps from Hobby Lobby would be a better choice.  I can't wait to get it to her(but it will have to wait a little bit cuz' she lives an hour away).  The top one is Krissy's with a purple center, and the bottom one is mine with a blue center.  Oh, don't look to closely at mine please.  I hurried and got it done(with plenty of errors, but I still like it and at least the mistakes are in mine and not hers!).   :)
Oh, and I need to say...I already hate working with 2 shuttles!  Now, I hate working with 4 shuttles!!  And I have a 6 shuttle pattern waiting for me to take that step and make it some day, and I have seen a 12 shuttle which interested me, but I am thinking I would be completely out of my mind to consider that one!!!  :)

Those are lovely friendship bracelets! I don't think anyone will ever notice any mistakes.

Well done!! I've downloaded that pattern but never actually made it. Those are really pretty bracelets. Working with 4 shuttles is definitely daunting, so well done for persisting.

Once you use 4 shuttles it kinda feels like that other lace making, where they pin it to a cushion! These are beautiful love these and toggles you bought for them!

Thank you Jane!! :) The pattern really isn't hard! It's quite easy, but the hard part is concentrating on getting those chains to cross properly. Other than that and the 4 shuttle tangle up from time to time, I really like the pattern and hope to make another some day! :)
Thank you Madtatter80!! :) I've seen that kind of lace and thought it looked more tedious than tatting!! :)

These are beautifully tatted - wonderful thread and beads and a lovely gift! I like the textured/Celtic look! I also like your clasps!

It is a great pattern and I have recently made a necklace using it. Apart from anything it is essential to make sure the rings are tight up against each other. But I can see you did a great job.

Beautiful! It's funny because I thought exactly of making quelquechose like that. I had never seen this pattern.
