So tempted!!!

I gave in and started a new project!!!!
I have several pages in the Doily books marked and
and I gave in and started one, but....I didn't tat the
whole doily because I love it just like this(well, I
HAVE to sew in ends yet!!).  ;)
This is Anya Doily 1 from Lovely
Tatting Doilies for Fall and Winter.
I only tatted 8 of the 12 rows, and I didn't
use split rings to climb out because I wanted
rings a solid color and chains variegated.
I had this Fun in the Sun HDT from Custom
Cotton Etc on Etsy in size 10(the pattern calls
for size 30), and the only solid to go with it I
had in size 20 Lizbeth Azalea Med. which I
used 2 strands to make it close to size 10.
I love it!!!  :)

During the Christmas weekend I tatted Jennifer Williams
Flower motif using overlapped picots(aka Ikuta picots).
I used size 20 Lizbeth Snow White and Christmas Red, and
I made mistakes in the overlapping, but it still looks ok.

I also received my Pop Tops and Epoxy domes,
and I downloaded my images I purchased and I
got busy and now I have plenty of Pop Tops ready
to become Pop Top Drop ornaments for next year!!

And, I bought these gorgeous Solar Quartz cabochons
I purchased to tat around.  I CAN'T wait to start using
them!!! ;) I bought them off Etsy for those who are curious.
Have a wonderful tatting filled day!!! :)

A Very Merry Christmas and a great start for my New Year!!

Here are 3 of my Christmas gifts

All 3 of these have been on my Amazon wish list
for what seems like forever.
The top on is my 3rd Mary Konior book.  Last
time I saw it the price was $180 some dollars.
I just kept watching hoping the price would drop.
Then over a month ago it was at a terrific price
coming from the UK. It said it was used, it looks new.
I had no way to track it and thought I wasn't getting it,
and it came in yesterday.
May your day be blessed with love and tatting!!! :)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

We have no snow so it's not quite Christmas for us,
but we have been blessed with some awesome sunsets!!

My daughter got me these super cute slippers.

I have been doing some tatting, but nothing to show.
And, I am making my own Pop Tops for Pop Top Drop
Ornaments for next year. Rudolph the
Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Peanuts Christmas.
So, first assembly and then tatting!!! ;)
Merry Christmas and Happy Tatting New Year!!! :)

Lots of little ornaments

Tatting along and going to craft shows.
I love tatting around the flattened Pop Tops (bottle
caps).

I tatted around some teardrop earrings and my
daughter added angels for me.

Another Pop Top Drop ornament.

I received some small 2 hole buttons from a tatting
friend and came up with these small ornaments.

Hope you are having a great tatting time!!!  :)

Tatting Christmas Pop Top Drops and Mirror ornaments

So, I have been tatting along.
I am working on these ornaments
for a couple of crafts shows the next
2 weekends.  I hope they are well liked!
Linda Davies 3D Christmas trees make
nice flat Christmas tree earrings.
All the Pop Top Drops and Mirror ornaments
are tatted with size 20 Lizbeth Snow White
and all have beads.
These first are just cute snowmen.

Next are my Mirror ornaments.  My hubby
saw the gold one and made me make a 2nd
and wants them to be made into earrings (not
for him of course).  ;)
I started with these 3, blue red, and green.
Then, a Christmas color mix, and then silver.
Then gold.
And then Frosty the Snowman Pop Top Drops. I
did tat one with blue beads, but I guess I didn't
take a picture.  Oh well.  ;)
I tatted this one while waiting for the turkey to cook.
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!!! :)
Have a great weekend and get some tatting in!! :)

First craft show of 2021 for us

I didn't prepare for craft shows this year because
I wasn't sure they would happen.  My daughter and I
signed up for 3 this year.
We just did our first Saturday and did pretty well,
especially since the first time we were in this one
we didn't sell anything.
Here are the pictures of our "booth".
This first section is our daughter's mermaid items
and autumn pumpkin decor.

I took the side table since I didn't have much.
They wanted us to have red table cloths which
neither of us like because it's hard to see how
nice things look sitting on red!
We had large hail on the way to the show. It only
lasted about 10 minutes, but it was quite the heavy
downfall!!!

One of our dear sweet seniors came to me last night
and gave me these beautiful pillow cases.  She thought
they might be tatting.  I know they are not tatting, but
I have no idea what kind of lace this is so I told her I
would ask those who know more than me!!  ;)

I have been tatting!  I have a baby boy suncatcher
almost done, and a winter suncatcher in progress,
plus I have been adding motifs to my tablecloth,
and have Christmas tree earrings that need to be
tatted, and some Pop Top Drop ornaments waiting
to be done also.
Hope you are all doing well and tatting along!!!
Happy Thanksgiving early since I don't know if
I will post again before then.  ;)

Not for now, but definitely in the future!!

I am working on a baby boy suncatcher and I was
designing the next row, but it looks too pretty for
what I want, so it is a sample for a future project.

Hope you are all enjoying your autumn(for those in the US).
Have a happy tatting filled day!! :)

Baby Girl Suncatcher

 Well, it's done.

It is not quite what I wanted for the outer ring,

but, I am learning.  ;)  At least it sparkles!!  :)

Hope you are getting some tatting in this week!! :)

Finishing projects slowly

 The earrings are finished!!!

And the baby girl suncatcher is ready for

finishing touches!!! :)

And, I am glad we used our Christmas stuffed characters
to make our Christmas tree cute because our lights have
been delayed another 2 weeks.  Oh well, at least it's cute!!!
Hope you are having a wonderful day with tatting!!! :)

Tatting, tatting, tatting....

I am still working on the baby girl suncatcher

and the Ice Drop suncatcher, but our daughter

was given a pair of earrings which were not her

style and she gave them to me saying that tatting

might enhance them for someone else, so...

(before and after using the pair)

I also just finished tatting another row on the
baby girl suncatcher.  There may be another to
help fill the ring, but I am not sure yet.

And, for those who know how much I love

Christmas, last Saturday we set up the tree

and found out the most of our lights have retired,

so while waiting for new ones to arrive we

made the plain tree look cute!!!  :)

Hope you are having a wonderful and
tatting filled weekend!!! :)

Have a wonderful rest of your week and hopfully
get some tatting in!! :)

Center is done.

Well, the center is done and I had to block
it to be able to work on the next row.

The next picture is trying to show the sparkle of the beads.

Have a great day and get some tatting relaxation in!! :)

New project in the works

I wanted to wait until this was finished to show it,
but....I love it so much already I had to share!!  ;)

The pictures are all of the same project, but differ
just slightly in view.

And to show size...so far.
I love the characters which are supposed to be on a slight
diagonal from each other..will work on that later.
I hope it makes you smile!!  :)
Happy tatting everyone!! :)

I have NEVER found this before in the time that I have been tatting

I have started lots of new balls of thread(Lizbeth),
but this is a first and very frustrating!!!
I got this ball out of one of my specialty packs
and when I went to find the beginning I found that the
thread wrapped around the outside of the ball was a
separate piece all together.

I have had "slubs" and knots and such, but this is
almost a waste of thread.  I sure I don't find any
others like this!!!
Now, hopefully I will get back on track with my
tatting and hopefully I will have something to
show soon!  ;)  No promises!!!
Have a wonderful weekend and hopefully you
have better thread with your tatting!! :)

"Floating" tatting

Our daughter was trying to keep busy during a
medical appointment she brought me to, so she
ended up "looking" through the Dollar Tree near
there.
She found these 4in. x 4in. photo frames.
I saw someone who had placed tatting in some
similar frames and she knew at one point I had
been looking for some, so when she spotted these
she got 2 for me to try.

I took 2 views to give you an idea of how the tatting
looks like it's floating.

Now I have to get good at centering!  ;)
Have a wonderful week of tatting!!! :)

Firefox

It's funny, if I check the blogs using Google who is the creator of the blogs, well,

it won't allow me to comment, but if I use Firefox I don't have a problem, so I will

use Firefox to check my Google blog from now on.  ;)

I should have some posts soon because our daughter and I are getting prepared to

be in 2 and now possibly 3 craft shows in November and December.  We are

excited.
Have a wonderful tatting filled weekend everyone!!! :)

Having Trouble!!

I don't know what is going on, but for some reason I cannot access my reading list.  I click on it and it gets a "hazy" look over the page and freezes.  It's been happening for a couple of days now.  So, if you are looking for my comments on your blogs, I am sorry, but I can't get to them.  I will try later and see if I can access them on my hubby's laptop.  ;)

New Suncatcher color

I just finished this suncatcher for a
person who wanted something other
than a rainbow.
I thought a watermelon suncatcher
would be nice, so here it is ready to
go tomorrow.
It's another 8 inch suncatcher.  I used
size 40 Lizbeth Juicy Watermelon,
Christmas Red and Christmas Green Mix
threads with size 12/0 clear glass seed
beads and size 11/0 red, green, and
black(for the "seeds") seed beads.
I am working on another Rainbow in
the clouds suncatcher.  And hoping to
work on a new idea.

Have a wonderful weekend and lots
of tatting!!!  :)
