Merry Christmas(late) and Happy New Year to you all!!

I am still here and still tatting.  Here are some
items I had to get done before craft shows and
Christmas.
This cross ended up at a craft show and was
purchased very quickly, so next year I will
have crosses at my craft shows.  ;)
This is My Portion Cross by Elaine P. Gan in
Lizbeth size 40 Purple Iris Fusion.
My mother-in-law ordered this necklace
for her apartment manager. Lizbeth size 40
Arctic Waters.
My mother-in-law also ordered these earrings
to give to my sister-in-law.  The pattern is
Yarnplayer's Giddy earrings without the drop
at the bottom.  My beads were too large a
size 10mm, but they worked.  I had to stiffen
the lace a bit because it was ruffly.
Lizbeth size 20 Lilac Dk.
I have a legally blind senior on Sunday
nights who asked me to make her a bag
she could wear around her neck to hold
her lifeline device and her cell phone.
I did a quick(not so great) job on this, but
she loves it and is so thankful!!  It has 2
pockets on each side(1 zippered, and 1 open).
And I just finished another for another senior
in a different print.
I am also doing plastic canvas "name tags"
for seniors now.  I have shown my first, so
here are the next 2 finished just before Christmas,
and I am already almost finished with another
(picture) to come later.

And, I made coasters for my Bible study group.
All you who sew, cover your eyes.  :)
I found these wonderful fabric squares and
panels and such for quilting
all of the ladies love them!! :)
And, these 3 wall hangings will be delivered
today.  I have never made a wall hanging
until now.  These are first attempts and ok, but
not up to my perfectionistic standard(same
with the coasters above).
Look closely and you will see Tat-a-Renda's
dragonflies(pattern
I added Muskaan's flowers(this one is for our 99yr. old).
This one has hearts, but I don't have all the
designers right now, I tatted them earlier in
the year.
So, you see I have been a little busy.  ;)
I hope you all have a very happy and blessed
New Year, and get lots of tatting and crafting in!! :)

A Large Pink Cross

I have a very dear sweet and special friend who loves
pink and I just had to make her a pink cross. I love the color
in this thread!!
I had to make it a very large cross because she is so special.
I can't wait to take it to her a week from Sunday!! :)
First picture just the cross,
second picture to show size on printer paper.

Tatted in size 10 Artiste thread from Hobby Lobby,
color # HD0024.  I am not usually a fan of pink,
but I really like this pink!
This is Mary Konior's Large Cross from
Tatting with Visual Patterns.

I have tatted one pair of Christmas tree earrings
for the craft show, started on another, but missed a
join in the beginning so I set it aside.

I also have a bit of a new craft(to me)...plastic canvas.
Our Sunday night seniors live in an apartment building
and they all have their names on plastic canvas outside
their apartments.  Well, the ladies who used to make them
have all moved on and a few new ladies don't have one, so
I tried my hand at it and it looks pretty good for a beginner.
I covered most of the name for privacy.

I hope you are all having a good tatting filled week!! :)

Tollway Tatters and Tablecloth

We had an AWESOME Tollway Tatters Gathering!!
12 Tatters from across America, Canada, and Australia.
Lots of different projects, great tatting and chatting!!
And, I tatted 4 motifs on my tablecloth in that time.
From my estimation I need approx. 14 more rows to
make it reach from side to side(7 rows on each side).
It takes me approx. 1/2 hour to tat each motif and
knowing that it takes approx. 17 hours to tat each
side currently.  ;)
Hope you have a great tatting filled weekend!! :)

Tatting for an upcoming craft show

I tatted up this set of autumn leaves using Lizbeth
size 40 threads.  Right to left- Autumn Spice,
Orange Crush, Honey Drizzle, Falling Leaves, and
Spice Cake.
And, I had to show this, Marilee, in size 40 these
earrings are the same size as the leaves in the bottom
picture on page 2 of your pattern.  ;)
I had a request for another cross.  This one is for the
daughter of the lady I tatted the last one for.  She said
light blue was her favorite color and normally I use
Lizbeth Niagara Falls, but this time I changed it up
and used a favorite of mine, Blue Ice.  I hope she likes it!
And, I have had a couple of chances to spend time with
this little one.  Our newest addition to our morning
ministry family.  It's precious time with any baby!!  :)
Have a great week and hope to see all the
Tollway Tatters this Saturday!! :)
Happy tatting everyone!!! :)

Tatting with Tollway Tatters(in memories)

Ok, so in Feb. and Mar. of 2012:
was tatting with these totally gorgeous colors of Oliver Twists
threads and I wanted to check them out, but haven't until
this weekend.  She so kindly sent me a sample to try.

This is in no way perfect, but it's cute.  The thread tats
nicely, and the colors are fantastic!! :)

And the center is from Denise.  Wayyyy back when
the Tollway Tatters were able to meet in person I received
this little bag of "doodads" from Denise, and then I went
through my tatting items I saw these and just had to use
them with this thread.  Both are very fine.

So, in memory this weekend I got to tat with
Diane and Denise!! :)
Hope you had a great tatting filled weekend!! :)

Emptying shuttles and making flowers! And other tatting too!! :)

A long time ago Muskaan tatting these beautiful
flowers: https://tipsaroundthehome.blogspot.com/2018/07/what-do-you-think.html
and I really wanted to try them, and I
finally got around to it.

I didn't follow her examples exactly, and I ended
up using different sizes of thread, but I really like
how they are turning out! :)
I am tatting these as part of a Christmas present which
will be shown when completed.
But....this first set is no longer with me.  I was waiting for
my father-in-law while he was having cataract surgery and
the nurse came and got so excited to see tatting and said her
grandmother tatted and she has her grandmother's shuttle, but
couldn't learn.  So I gifted her this very unfinished piece and
she loves it so much and said it was going on her Christmas
tree with her grandmother's snowflakes.  :)

This next set has a HWT(Hand Wound Thread) flower.  It's
that dark purple with Lizbeth Tropical Punch.  I like it.

I added a bead for a little embellishment.

And by the Clover shuttle next to these you can see
how small they are.  ;)
This last set I wanted to use those pearly white beads (so
that I didn't have to put them away) and I loved how they
made the flower look!!!

On another Christmas present I will have hearts and
I wanted this heart from Mary Konior's Tatting with
Visual Patterns.  In Yarnplayer's Snowflake HDT.

And, on another Christmas present I will have these

Below is another memorial for a senior friend.
She lost her sister and this best friend last year
both within a week or so near Mother's Day.
She really loves having this one and the one of
her sister and she keeps them in her Bible and
shows them to others saying how beautiful they
are.  Her sister's is here:  https://hiskid66.blogspot.com/2022/08/the-tatting.html

And, I now have more of Yarnplayer's awesome HDT
to make fabulous tatted items with!!! :)
Thank you, Yarnplayer for creating such awesome
colorways!!! :)

And, we have had visitors on and off again.  These
3 surprised me right outside the kitchen window.

And this very dear lady is our 99 yr. old.  She and
my hubby went fishing and they each caught 4 fish,
and he caught the largest and she caught the smallest,
and both had a great time!!!
I was frustrated that the state would actually make a
99 yr. old pay for a fishing license!!!

Have a great day and hope you getting your
tatting in!! :)

Oh....a few tatting projects. ;)

Starting with tatting around a pendant in
a single pass Ice Drop design.  Lizbeth
size 40 Wildflower Garden.

A bracelet using the Floral Tatted Bookmark Pattern
by Kersti.  Pattern link here:
Tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Ocean Sunset.

Next is just 3 rows of connected split rings.
Tatted in size 40 Jungle Greens.

Next is a dyed agate slice.  I used rings and bare
thread space to surround the stone, and split rings
with a bead that the closing to make a chain.
Size 40 Lizbeth black.

Lizbeth Ocean Sunset is the only thread that
goes really well with the "oil slick" colors in
these earrings.  I just tatted rings and chains and
an extra row of chains with beads.

I added a tatted chain to connecting to this cross
just for a slight embellishment.  It really makes
the colors pop(in person).
Size 40 Lizbeth Black.

I saw this adorable bunny and ordered the pattern.
I hoped to have it done before Easter, but didn't
finish until July(as evident by the date on the picture).
Lizbeth size 20 Lilac Med.
Pattern here:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/720649222/rabbit-lantern-tatting-pattern-in-pdf

I had another senior lady see my tatted crosses
and she requested this.  So here is My Portion Cross
from Elaine P. Gan in size 40 Lizbeth Purple Iris Fusion.

I just tatted these adorable, cute little dragonflies today.
Pattern link: https://tatsaway.blogspot.com/2010/02/dragonfly-and-swan.html
Size 40 Lizbeth Purple Iris Fusion and Sea Island Citrus.

I tatted this bracelet from Robin Perfetti's book Tatted Bookmarks.
This is Square Tessellation.  Size 40 Golden Yellow Lt.

And....non-tatting.....me on a zipline.  ;)
A first time adventure.  ;)
I hope you have a wonderful and tatting
filled week!!! :)

Yes, I have been tatting.

My daughter gave me lots of stones to
tat around and sometimes they really
inspire me.  This is one of 3 similar
stones.  They are all the same greenish/
blue.  I like how this turned out!
This is Lizbeth size 40 Countryside with
clear glass seed beads.  I thought it was
Blue River Glades(which is set out for
the next one.)  ;)
This is a Tiger Eye Tear Drop stone.  I
like these colors for autumn.  Lizbeth
size 40 Golden Honey(limited edition)
and brown glass seed beads.
This is a dark Chevron Amethyst stone.
I love the deep dark purple(very hard to
photograph for an amateur).  I used
Lizbeth size 40 Elderberry Jam and dark
 purple metallic seed beads.
This one is a Rose Quartz Tear Drop stone.
I used Lizbeth size 40 Raspberry Frappe,
and the chain has pink glass seed beads.
I needed 4 crosses for some very dear ladies I  know.
I still have to sew in ends as usual, but they are all
tatted.  First two are Elaine P. Gan's My Portion Cross
in Lizbeth Purple Iris Fusion, and Elaine's Love on High
Cross in Raspberry Frappe(size 40 of course).
And the next two are Elaine P. Gan's Justification Cross
in Lizbeth Rainbow Taffy and Purple Iris Dk., and the
next is Mary Konior's Small Cross in Lizbeth Wildflower
Garden and Snow White(size 40 of course).
Tons more in the works, but nothing near finished!!  ;)
Hope you have a wonderful upcoming weekend and
make sure to get some tatting time in!!  :)

I have been busy!!

I finally!!!  finished my large triangle
inserts for the sides of my shirt.  They
are no way perfect!!!  but they work!!
Tatted in size 10 Lizbeth Magenta Dk.

The pictures are not great!!!  I am a tatter
not a photographer.  The color looks a bit
off in this picture, but it looks fine in person.
I designed my own large triangle which needs
much improvement especially in the center,
I think I did ok for my first try!!  It's in size 10
I have another style in progress which when
done(a long time from now) will be posted also.  ;)

I have also been tatting a selection of bracelets
for the up coming craft shows in Nov. & Dec.
I have lots of finishing to do, but the tatting is
done.  :) I am trying to make each in a different
I changed it a bit because I didn't read first.  Tatted
in size 40 Lizbeth Tropical Punch.

Next, is a design of my own. Folded rings make this
special!! :)  Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Countryside.

Next, is my simple bookmark/bracelet pattern. The
bracelet above took along time to think about, I stared
by tatting the bracelet design below, but it was too
narrow in design for the focal, so I made it a charm
bracelet.

Next is Robin Perfetti's Diamond Braid with Border
from her book Tatted Bookmarks.  Tatted in size 20
Lizbeth Rainbow Splash and Black.

Next is a made up design.  I saw something similar and
liked the look.  Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Spice Cake.

Next is Robin Perfetti's Wave Bookmark from her
book Tatted Bookmarks.  Tatted in size 20 Lizbeth
Tropical Punch.

Next is Muskaan's Edging #2. Link here:
Altered, but it didn't come out as I thought.  It's ok.
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Caribbean and Black.

I have many more to tat, and also lots of stones and
agate slices from our daughter(am currently half way
around a large stone).  I hope to have a good stock
by Nov. 1.  :)
Hope you are having a terrific day and getting some
tatting in!! :)
