Tablecloth update

The skinny "tail" is gaining body!!  It's slow, but
it's progress.  Ice Drops have filled in  for color
needed in my life.
Besides this I have several other projects, and
I need to work on my 25 Motif Challenge, and
my personal challenge of filling the ornament
stand.  It all seems overwhelming when you think
about it all at once, so I have be avoiding that
practice.
Happy tatting!!!  :)

and Diane requested the pattern, so today I got busy
and re-tatted it to make corrections and then typed
out the pattern and shared it.
It's tatted in size 80 Lizabeth Razzle Dazzle.
Hope you are having a wonderful and tatting filled day!!  :)

Another Ice Drop wann-be

This one is tatted with a tiny mirror in the center!!
It's tatted in size 40 HDT which I purchased years
ago.  I had special requested a color and this is
what the person came up with, but it's not what
I envisioned so I call it Hippie Summer.
Here is a slightly closer view.
Have a fabulous day, and happy tatting!!!  :)

Heart of Te Fiti Ice Drop

When our granddaughters were invading the last
time, we watched the new Disney movie Moana.
It's is now a favorite and I think we have seen it
5 times and our daughter owns it!
Well, the younger granddaughter took my original
Ice Drop and ran around calling it the Heart of Te Fiti
and when she got home she lost it.  So.....
Grandma feeling like she needed a Heart of Te Fiti,
tatted one.  The one she had was blue so it wasn't
true to the movie, but she loved it.  I can't wait to
see her face when she receives this green one(which
is the color of the one in the movie).  I plan on
putting it on a lanyard hoping it won't be easily lost!
This first picture shows the true color: Yarnplayer's
HDT Celery(my favorite green).
This next picture shows how I tried to make the
spiral on the front.
The last picture shows the flower on the back.
This is a one of a kind.  I just tatted hoping to make
it work.  It's a little large so the glass gem slides around
inside the tatting a bit, but I am ok with that seeing how
it will be in the hands of an 8 yr. old.
Happy tatting and have an awesome week!!!!  :)

Since my computer doesn't get turned on when it's Sunday.....

I decided to post this since I finished it!!
Another wanna-be Ice Drop.
My own design.
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Tropical Punch.
With a yellow disk like a bingo chip and
sequins.
Have a wonderful night and tomorrow!!
Happy tatting!!  :)

Another sparkly laser disk Ice Drop

I love these sparkly laser disks!!!  :)  I can't wait to
see what more I can do!!
This one is tatted with size 80 Lizbeth Razzle Dazzle
and small purple beads.
I started with the back, but I tatted the long chains,
then when I tatted the front I tatted the small chains.
I think next time I will try to tat the small chains
as in Diane's original pattern and then the long ones
hoping for a smoother look, but I still like it!!  :)
Have a wonderful weekend and happy tatting!!  :)

Not an Ice Drop Addict(yet!)

Well, I tried again to make the beautiful blue flower
"gem" into an Ice Drop.  I decided to try my own
idea.....I have an ankars flower to use for something
else.
So....after that didn't work, and the others in the
house were busy repairing a gas tank strap that
broke on the vehicle, I tatted.
I had to re-think and go with my first thought of
what I was hoping to achieve and that was to show
as much of the "gem" as possible so keep the tatting
around the sides.  And this is what happened!
The "gem" was a gift from a tatting friend, and the
thread is the same HDT I used on that last cross,
and laser disk Ice Drop.  Again, it's size 40
Blue Ridge HDT from Tat-ilicious.
Have a wonderful night and happy tatting!!!  :)

Laser disk Ice Drop

I received some neat items to tat with from a sweet
tatting friend, and I so badly wanted to tat something.
Well...this isn't what I planned, but at least I didn't
waste the HDT!!!
This is Diane's Ice Drop pattern with what I call
a laser disk-it's about the size of a bingo chip,
and it's kind of like a large sequin.
I love the laser sparkle!!!
This is the front side.
This is the backside.
I am going to work on the original thought, hopefully
tomorrow.
Happy tatting everyone!!!  :)

Another cross for another senior

Well, we gained some new seniors as well as
some have moved on from our Sunday night
group, so I continue blessing each person
who joins us with a tatted cross!
This lady is 92-awesome!
This one is Elaine P. Gan's My Portion Cross
which is one of my most favorite designs!
I have tatted it 3 times before and now
for the first time in blues and I love it!!!
You can purchase the pattern in a book of
That link has all her patterns and books, but
I will let you know this is from book # 4.
It's tatted in size 40 Blue Ridge HDT from
Tat-ilicious(I wish she was still tatting
and dying threads!).  :)
I hope everyone had a very blessed Easter!!!
Ours was blessed with our 2 Sunday groups
getting together and spending time in the presence
of our risen Lord!!  :)
Happy Tatting everyone!!  :)

Fairly productive weekend

Well, besides working hard to get the Sunday
morning ministry supplies ready and stocked,
and working on some housework, I tatted!!!
I now have the tablecloth to the length of the
table(of course it must hang about a foot over
sides all the way around, but that will come in
time(lots and lots most likely!).
Picture as best as I could from above.
And, I also got 2 rainbow crosses done, and today
this pink cross.
These are the Big Crosses from Tatting Patterns & Designs
from Gun Blomqvist and Elwy Persson.
Tatted in size 10 threads.
And the pink is Resurrection Cross from Elaine P. Gan
tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Pink Blossoms.
Well, maybe more tatting time today besides more
housework.
Have a wonderful day and hopefully tatting time too!!  :)

A Snowflake in April

We were expecting snow 2 days ago, but it missed
us and that is ok with most everyone here.
I have gotten some tatting done, this snowflake
is another Robin Perfetti design-the Design Tutorial Snowflake, link here:
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Snow White.
I failed to make it as beautiful as it should be due
to my not so good Josephine Knots.  I just can't get
them nice.  It was going to be another ornament
cover, but the center is a little snug.  So, it will
just stay a snowflake.  :)
I have also added about 6 more motifs to the tablecloth.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend, and I hope
your Palm Sunday is blessed!!!  :)

Showing current tablecloth length

Well, I finally took pictures to show how long the
tablecloth is.
Our table is about 6 foot long.
I am thinking I have about a foot left to tat and then
start widening the newer section to match the rest.
Then I will work on making it wider to fit the table,
and then beyond.  Yes, I have dreaded ends to work
on sewing in, but if I barely get to work on this so
ends will wait, and yes, I will get to them sometime.
It's granddaughter invasion time so no tatting
happening, although, the one real Ice Drop I tatted
has just been claimed this morning, and 2 pairs of
tatted earrings also.
Have a great week, and happy tatting!!!  :)

Personal challenge # 6

Well, Robin's First Snowfall Snowflake makes an
elegant ornament decoration(as long as you have
the right sized ornament and don't cut the ends so
short that they come undone).
As stated, the top is the same snowflake as the
bottom with the center rings omitted.
It's very loose on the ornament and I have to re-adjust
it each time I pick it up, but I think it's great otherwise!
Below is a picture of the bottom which is the whole
snowflake.
Here is the stand with 6 ornaments now(all for me since
I have many errors in several).  I am a quarter through
this challenge!!
And, for anyone wondering size, this stand
is as tall as our loveseat, and the Snowman
suncatcher I am creating is half the size of
this stand(more tatting will be added to
the snowman in time).  :)
Have a tatfully wonderful weekend!!!  :)
