Test tatting a bracelet

Ok, it's actually supposed to be a choker, but I
prefer bracelets.  This is Elaine's Trefoil Choker
pattern.  I used size 20 Lizbeth Rainbow Splash.
I plan on wearing it to an All Day Praise we have
this Saturday.  :)
Happy Tatting!!! :)

Finishing a set, and a bracelet

Here's the close-up.
The earrings turned out pretty good.
I found a brown leather cord to go with it and just
need to add a clasp.
The bracelet I test tatted and made for our grand-
daughter was adored by a friend, so...it is now
adult sized and ready for delivery Saturday.
Have a happy tatting day!!! :)

Beads, beads, beads!!!

Ok, I am ready for beaded tatting projects!!!
I got the top right ones to make our daughter earrings
and she saw them and got real excited.  The bottom right
ones are ones she just chose today, they are a pink and a
blue iridescent type....more earrings(she loves earrings!
And the top 2 rows are bicone beads, and the bottome
rows are rounds beads(all the beads except the bottom
right are from Firemountaingems.com).
Oh, I love the sparkly colors!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Row 16 of 33

Oh, I guess I should have said that these rows are
being tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Pineapple Parfait.
Here is where we are at size wise.
Have a fabulous day, and I hope you get some tatting
in!! :)

Row 15 of 33

The Cathedral Doily continues to grow!!
It has an elasticity to it in these chain rows.
Have a fabulous day of tatting!! :)

Test tatted a bracelet pattern

It's a sweet little pattern.  Elaine had picots where
I have all the beads.  It small, but I know our 10 yr.
old granddaughter will want this so...it needs to be
small.  It sits just over my wrist.  I am thinking for
her an elastic cord would hold nicely.  ;)
Have a wonderful day and hopefully get some
tatting in!! :)

Cathedral Doily rows 13 & 14 done

Still making progress. 2 more rows and I should
be about 1/2 way.
Have a fabulous tatting day!!! :)

Just a little tatting today

I finished the earrings to join the necklace.
Now I just have to sew in ends and get a hook
for the necklace.
 Here's the close-up.
Going to rest and get ready for tomorrow.
Have an awesome Sunday and happy tatting!! :)

Pretty beads and pearls to add to my tatting.

I needed clear purple beads so I got some, and I
wanted the pretty blue beads, and then I saw the
beautiful teal pearls and couldn't resist.
Happy Saturday, and Happy Tatting!! :)

A test tatted butterfly and Row 12 of 33 on the Cathedral Doily.

It's beautiful but looks a tad different than Elaine's.
I think it was because I kept getting overly distracted,
my mind refused to stay in one place!

I am continuing to make progress on the doily.
About an inch more and I will have to take pictures
because it will be too large for the scanner. It's
about 6 1/2 inches across, and this row took just
under 2 hours to tat- how do I know this??  I sat
down, turned on the tv and a movie was just starting
on Hallmark an it was a 2 hour long movie and I
ended just before it did.  ;)
Hope your day is going well!!
Happy Tatting everyone!!! :)

Row 11 of 33 done.

Detail on previous post.  Making progress!!
Happy Tatting!!! :)

Row 10 of 33 done

Well, it's finally back on track!!! :)
Just a reminder, this is Elaine P. Gan's Cathedral
Doily design and I am test tatting it.
It's being tatted in Lizbeth size 40 colors.
Center is Purple Splendor, next is Wildflower Garden,
and now it's Coral Splash.
Happy Tatting and have a wonderful day!!! :)

A Purple Minty Fudge Ice Drop

This is Diane's Minty Fudge Ice Drop tatted in size
40 Lizbeth Purple Splendor.  There are adjustments
made to the center back and front, but the outer round
is according to the pattern(that is why the chains don't
look right, but I think it's a pretty flower shape this
way.
Still working on emptying this shuttle.
Have a wonderful day and hopefully some tatting too!

Re-tatted Row 9

The chains are much better and have that arch!!
Well, I am trying to empty shuttles again and I saw
that the center of the doily would go well into a bangle
suncatcher, but I don't have clear purple beads(some
on order), so it's just a hanging decoration.
And, while trying to empty shuttles, I also have
a possible necklace pendant all from the center
of the doily design.  ;)
Hope your day is going well, and you are getting
some tatting in!! ;)

Correction to the previous post.....

Tatters heartbreak here.  I was questioned as to
whether that was row 9 or not, and after careful
checking I realized I messed up and tatted an extra
row of chains, and then checked my stitch count on
the row before and found out it was off.  So.....
I will be re-tatting row 9 after cutting off 2 rows.
I tell everyone I teach on Sundays that I am human
and I prove it every day!!!!  ;)
Back to the shuttles between housework today!

Row 9 of 33 done

Still not very big, but that is the way it is with
size 40 thread.  It's much prettier than what I
thought it would be.  ;)  I hope that continues!!!
Next up, another color change.
Have a fabulous day with tatting!!! :)

Row # 6 of 33 and....the color change-don't freak!!!

This is Elaine P. Gan's Cathedral Doily.
I am using Lizbeth size 40 threads, and this
 one is Wildflower Garden.
The idea is that the following colors will have
one color from the thread before it, this one has
the lighter pinkish purple.
Happy tatting everyone!!! :)

Row 7 done now too!! :)
Unplanned, the colors lined themselves up!!

And.....Row 8 done and that's it for tonight!!
It's about 4 1/2 inches across now.
Have a fabulous Sunday everyone!!! :)

Test tatting the Cathedral Doily

Elaine P. Gan has designed this doily and graciously
allowing us test tatters to test tat it for her.
So far it is working out beautifully!!!
This first picture is of the first 3 rows which I
tatted yesterday.
This second picture is with rows 4 & 5 tatted today.
I used size 40 Lizbeth Purple Splendor for these 5
rows, but there is a color change starting in the next
 row.
Have a wonderful weekend blessed with tatting!!! :)

Test Tatting again!!!!!! Yay!!!!

Elaine P. Gan is designing again(I should
say has still been designing!!).
This is her Simple Faith Cross.  It's small
in size 40 Lizbeth Christmas Red, but
it will be a wonderful gift for a teen
girl I know who last week was diagnosed
with Hodgkins Lymphoma and has a mass
in her chest.  She has already shaved her
head and started chemo(her whole family
has also shaved their heads in support).
I am also working on a special suncatcher for
her(with tatting) so watch for it later.
I hope your day is super blessed and bright,
we have sunshine and warmer weather, but
it all goes away tonight and we go back to
cold and possible snow over the weekend.
Happy Tatting!!!!  :)

Tablecloth update

This picture was kind of hard to take due to the
sunshine and having to stand on the chair and
hope to get the whole thing.
I seem to be making far better progress than in the
first 5 years of tatting this.  ;)
Only 2 more rows on each side to be completely
 even the whole length.
We have granddaughter invasion again.  This morning
we had our required grandma's coffee cake and
homemade cocoa, and here is the younger one
insisting on my attention so we play a game of
Skip-Bo and she won....
and her older sister laid back down  to sleep more.
Crazy, next month they will be 10 and 14.
Well, I hope you have a great day of tatting, I
most likely won't get time with my attention
demanded a lot!!  :)
