Tablecloth update

This picture was kind of hard to take due to the
sunshine and having to stand on the chair and
hope to get the whole thing.
I seem to be making far better progress than in the
first 5 years of tatting this.  ;)
Only 2 more rows on each side to be completely
 even the whole length.
We have granddaughter invasion again.  This morning
we had our required grandma's coffee cake and
homemade cocoa, and here is the younger one
insisting on my attention so we play a game of
Skip-Bo and she won....
and her older sister laid back down  to sleep more.
Crazy, next month they will be 10 and 14.
Well, I hope you have a great day of tatting, I
most likely won't get time with my attention
demanded a lot!!  :)

Yes so true, I hide my really important tatting when the little ones are over, but yours seem to be old enough so you don't have to do that. But no matter how old they need your attention so true.
Wow that is a masterpiece and love it I can understand standing on a chair cause the lends can only capture so much!
Have fun with the grandkids !

It is looking very nice, I'm sure it will be great when you finish it. But those seem like a lot of ends to hide... :)

Thank you both!!! :)
Madtatter80, they are older and I was able to work on sewing in ends twice today. ;)
Lavi, it is a ton of ends to hide, but I do my best to work on sewing them in from time to time. I got about 20 hidden today. ;)

You really deserve a rest! You've been tatting at breakneck speed! I can't get over how much tatting you accomplish, and you keep coming up with attractive ways to encase those shells. I am amazed at the intricacy of the lace around the black one in your recent post. It looks so complicated, with interweaving and lots of rings. I admit the runner would overwhelm me. It will be beautiful when finished! Enjoy your 'time off'!

Thank you Kathy!! I feel like I am slow at tatting usually, but sometimes I can't understand how so much gets done. I appreciate your wonderful comments!! :)
The shell pendant in the previous post is pretty much the same design as the first 2 I did, but then I tatted the outer chains, and on the second round all I did was join in front and then in back, and then again in front and then in back all the way around. It looks more confusing that it really is!!!
I actually started the tablecloth when I started tatting 8 years ago, but most of the effort has been put in in the last year and continuing this year. ;)

Thanks for the explanation about the shell pendants! I can now see how the chains are done. Very clever! It's commendable that you are determined to finish the tablecloth. It will be a beautiful heirloom!
