Well, Robin's First Snowfall Snowflake makes an
elegant ornament decoration(as long as you have
the right sized ornament and don't cut the ends so
short that they come undone).
As stated, the top is the same snowflake as the
bottom with the center rings omitted.
It's very loose on the ornament and I have to re-adjust
it each time I pick it up, but I think it's great otherwise!
Below is a picture of the bottom which is the whole
snowflake.
Here is the stand with 6 ornaments now(all for me since
I have many errors in several). I am a quarter through
this challenge!!
And, for anyone wondering size, this stand
is as tall as our loveseat, and the Snowman
suncatcher I am creating is half the size of
this stand(more tatting will be added to
the snowman in time). :)
Have a tatfully wonderful weekend!!! :)

It does look lovely. Hope you are making notes for future reference when your loved ones ask for them :-)
Happy tatting always :-)
Thank you muskaan!! :) I actually make notes for myself, most of the family isn't interested in tatting, but my hubby loves it, so whatever I keep will be his too(maybe). :)
It's such a good idea to turn snowflakes into ornaments! Very effective.
Thank you Jane!! :)
So clever...
Lovely tree and beautiful tatting, great that you already have 6 done!
I love what you're doing! If only I could get off this Ice Drop kick. I really need to learn to cover ornaments and eggs with tatting!
It's looks lovely, the stand is really filling up,
I too always thought that the long arms of snow flakes would work but never tried. Is that a card holder in the background with a doily in it? It's a fantastic idea 🐥I have one and so want to try that, did you post that at a different time and I missed it? 😦 cause I love this idea!😄💟😄
Thank you all so very much!!! :)
Madtatter80, yes that is a card holder and I did post it before, the link is here: http://hiskid66.blogspot.com/search?q=large+snowman . From the time I saw it I knew it had to have tatting. I have more ideas I want to add to it, but it will take time(probably lots of time). I am sure yours will look awesome and I can't wait to see it!!! :)
Your ornaments are turning out nice! I too tend to squirrel away "mistakes" until friends beg them off me. I tend to be my own worst critic. Now, I call them "imperfects" and offer to tat a better example in the color of their choice. Some take me up on that offer, others want to enjoy it right away.
Thank you picotsnkeys!! :)
