Not for now, but definitely in the future!!

I am working on a baby boy suncatcher and I was
designing the next row, but it looks too pretty for
what I want, so it is a sample for a future project.

Hope you are all enjoying your autumn(for those in the US).
Have a happy tatting filled day!! :)

Finishing projects slowly

 The earrings are finished!!!

And the baby girl suncatcher is ready for

finishing touches!!! :)

And, I am glad we used our Christmas stuffed characters
to make our Christmas tree cute because our lights have
been delayed another 2 weeks.  Oh well, at least it's cute!!!
Hope you are having a wonderful day with tatting!!! :)

Tatting, tatting, tatting....

I am still working on the baby girl suncatcher

and the Ice Drop suncatcher, but our daughter

was given a pair of earrings which were not her

style and she gave them to me saying that tatting

might enhance them for someone else, so...

(before and after using the pair)

I also just finished tatting another row on the
baby girl suncatcher.  There may be another to
help fill the ring, but I am not sure yet.

And, for those who know how much I love

Christmas, last Saturday we set up the tree

and found out the most of our lights have retired,

so while waiting for new ones to arrive we

made the plain tree look cute!!!  :)

Hope you are having a wonderful and
tatting filled weekend!!! :)

Spring Doily and Christmas Wreath Bow edging updates

It's another 2-in-1 picture.
This is the Christmas Wreath Bow edging surrounding
the Spring Doily.  I have been making slow progress
on both while tatting along on other projects too. Like
the suncatcher in the previous post today.
Here is a closer view so you can see how much of the
doily row is left before I get to start the next row.
I haven't measured it, but I think the red edging is about
a yard in length.  I think I have about a foot or so to go
and then I can work on the other side and then add to
the width.
Have a wonderful day with tatting!!!  :)

Little bits of progress to show. :)

Not a lot, but progress just the same.
As you can see, I am about half way around row 13
on the Spring Doily, and I am guessing about
2 feet long on the edging for my Christmas bow.
Hope you are having a wonderful day!!
Hope you get some tatting in!!  :)

An edging to show a bit of

This is part of Mary Konior's Anniversary Edging
from Tatting with Visual Patterns.
I am tatting it in size 20 Christmas Red.  I started
last night when the lighting wasn't good enough
to work with the size 80 on the Spring Doily.
This is about 8 inches long, but needs to grow to
about 3 or 4 feet by my guess.  I plan on
adding more to the sides of this to widen it so
I can make a large Christmas bow to go on a
wreath.
My Spring doily has had a little more progress, but
I need to re-wind both shuttles so I took a break.
And, I am really hoping to start the bracelet with
the new beads.
Hope your day is bright, cheerful, and that you
have time to tat!!!  :)

2016 25 Motif Challenge # 1 Ninetta's Edging with Curled Onion Rings

I think I have a favorite edging pattern now, and I love the design!!!  :)
This is Ninetta's Edging with Curled Onion Rings...pattern here:
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Coral Splash and Lime Green Med.
I love how the colors set themselves up and repeated!!  :)
The last "flower" will come together when the chain is tatted,
when I end it I will do a join where the chain thread ends
at the top and that should pull the last "flower" together!  :)
We had a great time with our granddaughters,
and the college daughter was home for a break too.
On Friday night we were up late and at 10:30pm the
younger granddaughter was knitting with her Aunt Sarah,
and the older one asked if she could tat again(she learned
quite some time back, but was told it was for old people
so she quit), and she was making rings and picots before we
quit for bed at 11:30pm.  I had pictures, but my camera
memory card has been acting up and deleting all the
pictures when I put it in the computer.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!!!!!
Oh, and for those wondering, my hubby had orientation
for his new job the last 2 days and is waiting for them
to get him a trailer so he can work(he is a truck driver).
Now, I have another tatting project I want to try, and I
want to continue this edging.
Have a great day, and hopefully tatting time too!!! : )

2014 25 Motif Challenge Motif # 6

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to all you Fabulous Tatters!!!
Well, a couple weeks ago I asked for some help here:  http://hiskid66.blogspot.com/2014/02/could-use-some-assistance-from-some.html ,  and some fabulous tatters came and offered advice and help.  I was so thankful and have really worked at this.  The solution was to use 2 shuttles, and to make the bottom center ring a SSSR(single shuttle split ring) so that the thread would end up in the correct position to start to next chain.  Also, I have decided that the last ring in the back needs a change in the pattern because it seems as though it should be 8ds, instead of the 4p4 as with all the other large rings on top, then it will resemble the first large ring on top and won't have a picot hanging out there oddly.  I may attempt again, but have decided this will take far longer than I have to complete an edging right now.  :)

Could use some assistance from some wonderful tatters :)

I found this beautiful edging pattern and would love to tat it for my mother-in-law, but when I sat down to tat it I discovered I need help.  I have one repeat done, but the ball thread for the chain is on the wrong side to be able to make the next chain properly.  If someone has tatted this or knows what I am missing I would appreciate any help.  :)
