2016 25 Motif Challenge # 5

I have wanted to tat this bracelet since I first saw 

it, and I didn't do it justice so I will have to try 

again another time, maybe using size 40 instead 

of size 20 thread.

 I tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Sky Blue Dk. with these 

fabulous beads I found at Hobby Lobby from inBloom 

by Bead Design, and Czech Glass Beads 11/0 seed 

beads Crystal. I purposely left the focal beads out 

of the centers of the end motifs so that I could wear 

it and sit my wrist on a table without the pain of 

beads under my wrist.

 I had also tried to add the seed beads around the 

focal bead, but that distorted the tatting and didn't 

work well for me.  I also believe smaller picots on 

the points and outer joins would help a lot!!!!

We are having a house full today for what was 

supposed to be a grill out, but it's raining so, it will 

be just a food and fellowship day!!  :)

Emptying shuttles again....

Well.....I tatted this bookmark to empty a shuttle.

I thought it might end up as a bracelet, but it kept 

curling up to much that I stopped and made it short 

so it became a bookmark.  I just emptied the shuttle 

I used for the cross.

I also worked a little on the next row of the Spring 

Doily, and a little on the edging for the Christmas 

bow.  :)

Well....tons of stuff to get done this week, but I 

hope for some tatting time!!!  :)

Finished Row 14 finally!!!

Well, I got this row finished this morning.

Hoping to start the next row tomorrow, or

Monday.

Getting there

Changing up my routine and normal way of life to 

a new way with hubby home a lot, is not easy.

I have been doing ok, but it is an adjustment.

I have this round almost done now.  I think there 

are 16 repeats left, but I am tired of the repetition 

and the political convention(hubby is watching it).

Well....I think I am going to play some computer 

games and listen to some music.

Well, I am still tatting along.  I am doing my best to 

tat 10 repeats in a row to try and keep progress on 

going...at least for me!  :)

Side note: hubby decided to quit his current job and 

try something new(not good in my opinion, but...),

so, I am trying to figure out what to do about the 

hide and seek project.  For those following that blog 

you will see any possible progress on it there, and 

any progress on others too.  :)

Finished the Cross

It needs a little blocking, but it's good otherwise.

Spring Doily row 13 complete!!!

I am so happy with this doily right now.  It is such

a beautiful design!!!  :)  I love the arches over the 

flowers!!  :)  

I think I am going to work on the cross I started, 

before starting the next row.  I have made some 

tatting progress yesterday and today!!!

Tollway tatting fun and new HDT!!!

I got to join the Tollway Tatters today!!!  And a 

friend who is a new tatter and only knows rings 

currently came along.  We had such a great time!!!

I didn't get many pictures today, but just know,

it was worth not worrying about pictures!!

The first and second pictures are ladies checking

out all of Diane's Spinning Wheel Glass Mats.

 And....(drum roll please) my newest Yarnplayer HDT.

I already have plans for the vivid pink-Raspberry Sorbet

but it's a Christmas Secret(for those watching that blog)!!!

Not a lot, but progress just the same.

As you can see, I am about half way around row 13

on the Spring Doily, and I am guessing about 

2 feet long on the edging for my Christmas bow.

Row 12 Completed!!

I have worked on this as often as possible, but

after missing a week while our granddaughters

were here, I am having trouble keeping up.  And,

life just doesn't seem to give me a break!!!

I still have plenty of ruffling in my doily, but

This row seemed to calm quite a bit.  I love it!!!
