H E L P !!!!!!!!

I am so upset!!!!!!!!!!
I found a mistake 3 rows back and the only thing I
know to do is cut off the 3 rows and re-tat all 3.
If you look just to the right of the purple clip you will
see that I joined to a picot when I shouldn't have and
this has created an extra chain(or arch) that should
not be there and I am not sure how to correct it.
Hey Experienced Tatters, is there a way to correct this
and the other 2 rows after it so it's correct-without cutting
and re-tatting???
If not, then I will get to cutting.
Hope your Saturday is going well!!! :)

I would clip this little section and retat it. you could perform a split chain, just use an area in the new thread that is transitioning in colors.

...Remember to hide the ends as you tat.

it would be a shame to have to cut it all off. I agree you should be able to just snip that bit out. Try it and then if you really can’t get it right you could still resort to cutting the rounds off. Good luck!

I would cut the 3 rows at the point of the mistake, and then beginning on the 1st row unravel the stitches on both sides back to where there is a join to the row below and you have a long enough piece of the core thread on both sides to be able to work with for hiding the ends. Pull a new section of thread through the picot where this row joins to the row below and wind onto the shuttle, so you don't have extra ends on that side, and try to come to the same color. Work across to where the other side stops. You can encapsulate over one or both threads on the first side, and if you like the magic loop method for working in ends, then do that on the far side so you can hide one of the ends that way. Sew in the rest of the ends. Repeat on the next 2 rows. Then look at it from Several Feet Away to judge if the fix was good enough to not have to cut out all the entire rows.

Oh, no! At least you are asking and waiting for a reply. I tend to ask, then snip, and then realize there might have been an easier solution as suggested by my tatting friends. Good luck!

That was my first thought Diane! ;)
