Time to catch up on what's been happening here.

Our daughter, Sarah, and I were at our first craft
show of this year.  Here she is with all her items(tons!).
Everything in this picture up to the little Christmas
tree on the left.
Below is my large Christmas tree with the larger
Pop Top Ice Drop ornaments, and small space of
jewelry(plus my in-progress forever tatted tablecloth).
And below is my small tree with small Pop Top
Ice Drop ornaments, Christmas button ornaments,
and mirror ornaments.

These young girls who were at the craft show before,
were back and selling ribbon wrapped candy cane
wreaths.  I wanted to support them, and got this fabulous
snowflake candy cane wreath.
A lady at the craft show was admiring my tatting
and told me how she used to crochet angel tree
toppers.  I was so curious how big size 3 thread
would make the Cathedral  Angel(by Elaine P. Gan)
that I tried it.  I don't have a correct head, but tried a
couple to see. This is the largest bead I have(too small).
This is one of my mirror ornaments, great size,
but too flat.
Below shows the difference in sizes.  First is size 3,
second is size 40, then size 20.
And, I wanted to embellish this beautiful agate slice
with tatting.  I like how it turned out.  :)  Next is to
tat a chain.
And, I tatted 2 snowflakes to use as earrings.
This pattern is #8 from 4 Dozen
Tatted Snowflakes from Robin Perfetti.
So, you are all caught up here!! ;)
Have a wonderful tatting filled day and
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!! :)

Pendant, and a butterfly from a Muskaan Eye Spy

I tatted this pendant right after the last one.
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Mocha Brown Med.
and some small beads.

I found a small butterfly I had tatted from
a Muskaan Eye Spy on one of the Endruck's
edgings she had worked on.  I don't think I
shared it before so here it is.  ;)

Here is a quick "pattern" for the Endruck's Edging
Butterfly(I haven't retatted it so let me know if you
tat it and find mistakes):
R 8-4-4
R 4j4-8
Ch 28
R 2j4-2
Ch 20
(bottom center)R 6, 4-6
Ch 20
R 2j4j2
Ch 28 join to center of first two rings, tie threads
and cut leaving long enough for antennae.

I hope you had a great weekend and got some tatting
done!!  Have a wonderful tatting filled week!! :)

2 posts today?? Yep!! This time a pendant

My daughter gave me this gem slice and
I figured it would look awesome with tatting.
Yep, it does!!! :)
Tatted with size 40 Lizbeth limited edition
Maple Butter and some green mix
seed beads I bought online.

I have already started another pendant.
So...check back and there may be another

A Sweetheart Necklace Pendant

Well, I am actually still tatting along!! :)
I bought some heart beads just recently
and showed them.  Well, I finally got
around to working with one.  I wanted a
nice heart pendant that might sell well.
So, believe it or not, I sat down and
designed this today and all I have to do
is sew in ends and then either tat or
buy the chain.
I am pleased!!! :)
The front side has beads, the back does
not.  There are 8 beaded picots(3 on each
of the top sides and 1 on each side near the
point) which are joined to the back to
encase the heart.  I am thankful it turned
out well and that it went so quickly!! :)
Tatted with size 20 Lizbeth Rainbow Splash.
I am getting ready to work on another
"confetti" ornament for my tree, this time
green disc with red and white tatting.  ;)
Happy tatting and have a wonderful
Sunday!!! :)

Yarnplayer's Star Capella

I saw this pattern and thought I would try it.
With great intimidation hanging over my head
and doubts that I could do it, I still tried and
succeeded!!! :)
It's fabulous!!!
Pattern link here:
I used Lizbeth size 40.  If you print the pattern
you will be able to see what size this is, it's
almost the exact same size as the pictures.
Below is the back.  I think it's "reversible".
I actually have one person asking me to make
her one in purple.  ;)
I think I NEED several of these in different
colors!!  ;)
Hope you have a wonderful tatting filled day!! :)

Well...it was supposed to be nice and an earring...

It looks pretty good from the front, but I had to do
something extra in the back to keep the bead from
slipping out, so...it's a small necklace pendant.
A Peacock Pendant.  :)
Tatted in size 80 Lizbeth Peacock Blues with tiny
green beads and a flat peacock bead for the center.
Hope you are having a wonderful day and
happy tatting too!!!  :)

Center of tiny cross pendant

I was thinking while tatting the tiny cross yesterday that the top
and center would make a wonderful pendant.
Here is what I did today.  Tatting is much better
today!!!  :)
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Salmon Med.
with tiny muted purple beads.
Have a great day and hopefully enjoy some tatting!!!  :)
I think I am going to created a blog just for Christmas
knowing my hubby can find this one and also
knowing he just showed some lady it the other day
trying to explain tatting and showing my work.
I don't want him to see the other Christmas gifts so
those who know how to find my other blogs
look for a Christmas secrets one.  :)

Still venturing into designing

This is my Backward Swirl Wreath design.
It looks pretty good I think.  It cups a little, but
blocking would fix it easily I think.  It's not exactly as I
expected, but I like it.  I think it would make a great
pendant.  It's about the size of a 50 cent piece(for those
who know American money).
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Orange Crush.
I needed color today!!!  It's gray and slightly snowing.
Hope you are having a great day and getting some tatting in!!  :)
Our daughter just saw it and called it a hot tamale pin wheel.
Great name, but not if it's in Christmas colors or something else. :)

2015 25 Motif Challenge # 23 Atom

This is Yarnplayer's Atom Pendant from her Up and Tat 'Em book.
Well, I finished it.  It does not do the pattern justice, and
I know I had to have made mistakes somewhere, but I really like it.
I plan to sew it on something instead of using it as a pendant
since I used size 40 Lizbeth Raspberry Pink Med.(instead of size 20),
and the center bead is 6mm instead of the 8mm in the pattern,
and I can't even tell you what size the smaller beads are.
Because the thread is finer the pendant is very floppy,
so I think it will look great sewn onto something, which
will help it hold it's shape better!!
I love the color!!  :)
Oh, I survived working with the 6 shuttles!!!
Sorry, the scanner had trouble with the beads so the
picture is a bit blurry.
Well...only 2 more challenge pieces to finish last year's challenge!!!
Have a wonderful day and happy tatting!!!  :)

2014 25 Motif Challenge # 12

This is much sweeter in real life.  It's Five Petal Pendant from Yarnplayer's Up and Tat' Em book.
It's tatted in size 60 Flame Lantana HDT from Tatskool, with Swarovski Elements Fire Opal Bicone beads.
It's not much bigger than a quarter.  :)
Sorry the picture is so bad!  The scanner and beads don't seem to cooperate!!
