Another test tat

This is another Elaine P. Gan design.  It is a necklace pendant.  

It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Boysenberry Dk. with tiny gold beads.  

In the picture the thread looks like it has white on it or in it, but it doesn't.  I believe it's the scanner light causing that look.  Otherwise, this looks so elegant and amazing!!!  :)

I started a new doily.  It's pretty basic, but it's large and I am hoping to have it done for my mother-in-law and her husband for Christmas this year.

I also have a question for the experts...... the doily I wanted to do is in the book Traditional Tatting Patterns edited by Rita Weiss.  It's on pages 36 & 37.  I want to tat the large doily(which is slightly hidden in the picture by something sitting on top of it, but even with the small one I have a question for both.  I would like to tat this with 2 colors so that the star will be one color and the rest of the doily another, but since the star is tatted in small sections throughout the doily I can't seem to figure out how(or if) this can be done.  I hope I explained this well.  If anyone knows the answers please let me know.  Thank you all very much!!!  :)

A Patriotic Cross for a friend

We have a friend who is in his 70's and he served in the military and is very supportive of those who are defending this country now.  He didn't really have a favorite color so I figured this would be perfect for him.

It's tatted in size 40 Red and Blue HDT from Yarnplayer.

This is a necklace(neckpiece) test tatted for Elaine P. Gan.  

It's in size 40 Lizbeth Caribbean and Royal Blue with tiny dark purple beads.

  It's not big enough to go around someone's neck, but I think it can be used on a collar edge.

Finally..... one little bit of test tatting to show

I have been so terribly busy with life that I haven't had enough tatting time

(my total and honest opinion!!!).  I finally took time and did my best to test tat this for Elaine P. Gan.  It's a bracelet design.  It's tatted in size 20(not my usual) Lizbeth Caribbean.

All the tatting I have been seeing on the blogs has been wonderful!!!  I hope and pray that soon I will have more to show.  I tons of ideas and thins I want to do, but time is a problem!!!

Move over life, tatting is a necessity!!!  :)
