More tatting to show... :)

These 2 designs are from the book Tina Frauberger Schiffchenspitze 1921 pg. 47 top design
in Lizbeth size 40 Orange Crush, and the second from page 56 bottom design in Lizbeth size 40 Raspberry Frappe.  I had to kinda guess the pattern since it's in a different language, but I think they turned out beautifully!!  :)
These next two were just to play with the new Lizbeth size 40 Rainbow Splash thread!!  :)  They are from Tatting Patterns and Designs by Gun Blomqvist & Elwy Persson.  The first is from page 39 Star no. 2, and the second from pg. 35 Star no. 2.  Such fun colors!!  :)
This one is supposed to be a heart from the book Ultimate Book of Tatted Doilies pg. 8 titled Heart #8.  I am not sure why it's so round and doesn't really resemble a heart, but I like the colors!  This thread was dyed by a sweet young 6 yr. old boy who named it after his grandpa-Ampie size 20.  I am going to get this to him.  :)
Next, is a Lizbeth size 40 Orange Crush suncatcher.  A friend of my mother-in law wants me to make her suncatchers now too.  So this is the first.  This pattern is Silver Charm Suncatcher Ornament from the Big Book of Tatting by Darlene Polachic and it's attached inside a bangle bracelet in the same manner as in this tutorial: http://hiskid66.blogspot.com/2013/08/michelles-requested-tutorial-attaching.html .
This last piece is my own design(from the last post)  Flutterby Square.  It's tatted in Lizbeth size 40 Raspberry Pink Med.
I failed at my 25 Motif Challenge for last year.  Not that I didn't tat 25 things, but I was hoping to do 25 "new to me" projects so that it would be a challenge.  I am hoping to start fresh and succeed this year.  I am already working on my first project and hope to show it soon.  :)

2013 25 Motif Challenge # 5,6,& 7 **Still here and tatting when possible

Been desiring to tat, but life has REALLY been in the way!!!
Last night I decided to try and empty some shuttles by doing some motifs.
The first is Motif #16 from the book Motifs for Marie(which came from Fox).  There are 3 joined(and might possibly have more later).  Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Lilac Dk. and Scottish Thistle.
Next is Motif #25 from the same book.
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Raspberry Pink Med. and Raspberry Frappe.
This last one is the Chain Point Motif from the book Tatting the Self-closing Mock Ring for GR-8 Design by The Shuttle Brothers(I believe this book came from Fox too).  It's tatted in the same threads as the motif above(it was actually tatted before the above motif).  I really love this motif and hope to do it in better colors!!!  :)  I have marked several patterns in this book to try later!!  :)
I am still in the middle of several projects which have been sitting till I have clarity of mind and plenty of time to work and prayerfully finish them.  :)

Just random bits....

In the middle of all my craziness lately I have not had time to show you all the goodies that have come in the last month.  My hubby got gift cards for Bass Pro Shops, so I got gift cards for Amazon.  Well, I spent them well(at least I think so).  My tatting library has grown!!
As you can see, I have 5 new(or used) tatting books, and the goodies at the bottom I picked up at Hobby Lobby while waiting on my daughter one day(she was getting her hair done).
The first 2 packages are buttons which caught my eye, but I still can't understand how 2 or 3 buttons for 80-90 cents is a clearance(oh well-they were too awesome to pass up).  And the doodads were so cool I just had to get them(and they are in colors instead of metals).
Oops, when taking the picture of the books I missed one, so....I actually have 6 new books(this one was a total rip-off though.  It looked like a large thick book in the picture and they charged me $14.99 plus $3.99 shipping for a book that is clearly marked $8.96.  But, it's a nice book and the picture on the front is what I would like to tat sometime.  :)
I started a pattern called Blue Doily because I thought the center would make an awesome suncatcher.  Here is what I have done.
I am working with the antique triangle pattern I used wayyyyyy back, and coming up with my own design out of all those triangles.  I really like the way it's turning out!!!  It's done in size 20 Lizbeth Lilac Dk., and Snow White-which has been "hand-dyed" by me with permanent fabric markers: this is Confetti.
Below is the picture of the antique triangle pattern.
And, I wanted something else to take my mind away from many things I have been doing, and this beautiful butterfly did it.  My butterfly is not right, but quite cute!!  I want to do it over and hopefully get the picot sizes right so it looks like the picture.  :)

Thank You Jane!

Jane suggested that I scan my tatting and I tried it and now you can see how beautiful these motifs came out. Thank you Jane so much for the advice! Have a great day everyone! :)
