2011: 25 Motif Challenge- Motif #7

You won't believe this, but I was working on Jon Yusoff's Heart 0' Daisies Pattern
here: http://tatsaway-patterns.blogspot.com/2008/08/heart-o-daisy.html
And today my daughter and granddaughters stopped by for a bit and the oldest who's 6 yrs. old claimed the heart and said it was beautiful just the way it is and wouldn't let me do anymore to it(as a matter of fact-it ended up in her hand and left with her).
It's done in size 10 variegated rainbow thread. I will be making the full pattern some time. :)

And then her little 2 yr. old sister had to have something herself. Well.....butterflies didn't interest her, but a teeny tiny heart and a little fish were claimed, except that on the way to the car in all the snow(about a foot deep), the fish disappeared and the ride home for mom was awful! There was a terrible lot of screaming all the way home, so....I guess grandma had better make a bunch of "fishies" to get to the little one A.S.A.P. to save her mom's sanity. :)

Something slightly modified

I wanted to make something for a friend who plays a guitar and with all the beautiful dangles I have seen by the online tatters I thought I would try something. It's actually Jon Yusoff's Melati(without beads) modified by putting a cross in the center instead of a 6 ring motif.

It's not perfect, but I believe she will like it a lot. Now I just have to make a way to hang it, but that is going to wait till tomorrow(it's has to be finished by Wed.). :)

25 #2 Motif # 14

I got mad at my hubby today and put that anger into something constructive.
I bought Tatting with Rings from Jon Yusoff a little while back and finally got time to try a project. This is 1: Melati(without beads). I think it looks ok for a first time ever tatting on a ring. Thanks to Jon for such beautiful patterns to tat! Can't wait to have time to try more! This was fairly quick to tat-done in about 6 hours. And size 20 Lizbeth Caribbean thread.

Motif # 25 'Quantiesque' Snowflake

I made 25!!!
I tried this beautiful pattern from Jon Yusoff. It's the Quantiesque Snowflake done in size 20 Lizbeth Christmas Delight.

Hmmm...do I dare try for another 25?????? I will let you know after some thought. Either way, I will continue tatting because I love it! And I will continue posting what I do make. Thanks for all the wonderful comments on all the projects I have done!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still busy tatting :)

Still busy with snowflakes and dragonflies.
The first is the Unique Snowflake and the second is the Cloverleaf Snowflake both from Tatted Snowflakes by Vida Sunderman.
The others are Jon Yusoff's dragonfly pattern-the first is done in Lizbeth Caribbean size 20 with tiny purple beads, and the second is white size 10 with orange beads. The dragonfly twins are going to fulfill a request from my daughter for earrings(they are only as big as my thumb).

Motif # 21

I needed a change from the snowflakes! I am not really big on dragonflies, but I have 2 that intrigue me so I decided to try. Here is Jon Yusoff's Dragonfly- pattern here:

I think I did pretty good. :)
