Wow! It's almost the end of July already!!!

I finally finished my collar/necklace.
Started June 17, 2024(funny, I thought I started it
this year).  ;)  It got set aside often while life got in
the way!!  I am so happy it's done.  Not perfect, but
done!!
Here is a close-up view.
Here is a full view.
Here is how I am clasping it.
Here is a view of the hook I am using.
I wore it yesterday all day.  I figured out I need to
find some way to connect it to the shirt at the
shoulders so it doesn't slip and slide!!

Also, Bernice inspired me to learn to put tatting
inside ink pens.  And Deana encouraged it, and
tatted an insert while on Tollway Tatters and that
put me in motion after completing my collar/ necklace.
Here is my first completed pen with tatting insert:
Below is the completed tube.
Showing the end.
All pieces ready.

It took some work and adjusting to get the tatting into
the pen chamber.  I first placed the tatting on the ink
tube, but it wouldn't go in, just kept wrinkling the
end of the tatting.

I then just slide the tatting in and had to find something
very thin to help get it fully in place and then added
the ink tube and closed the pen.
Below is a close-up of the tatting.
A very productive Tollway Tatters this month....at least
for me. We had lots of quiet time with lots of
us concentrating on our work!!  There was also plenty
of chatting besides tatting, and a great group too!!
Have a wonderful week everyone and happy tatting!!

Tatting in this new year-time challenged!

A good friend of mine suggested that I use my time
during Tollway Tatters to tat items for craft shows.
Fantastic idea and I have been doing that.
I started with Christmas tree earrings in variegated
threads for a change and silver and gold star beads
for the tops.  Several people say they like the
variegated threads better than the solid green. ;)
Next, I started on some crosses.
This last month's Tollway Tatters Online Gathering
seemed to be a very busy day for most of us.  As we
came online most of us announced that we couldn't
stay long, for many different reasons. ;)  There were
six tatters on when I left(that included me).
All I got done in my 1/2 hour was one arm of a
cross, but I feel accomplished!!  Then we went and
moved a 93yr. old. ;)
All my tatting time in between life so far has been on
my collar necklace.  I am hoping and praying to have
it done by summer!!  ;)
Below is a close-up to show all the tiny beads.
In between each section are tiny clear beads.
And to show my shuttle with the beads.

And, though it's not tatting I have to show
you what I did.
One of my senior friends gifted me a light-up
green garland cross which someone made
for her.  She had to move to a nursing home
and didn't think she could bring it.
I have been using at the church group we
have each Christmas for a couple of years
now.
Well, I got her a wall Christmas tree which
lit up and she loved it so much and was sad
when I had to take it down.
 So...I got thinking
and decided I would "spruce" up her cross
with flowers.  Well, our 101yr. old said it had
to be tulips(and you don't argue with someone
of that age!!).  So, this is what has become of
that cross.  I am sure she will love it!!!  :)

Below is how it looks lit up during the day.

Below is how it looks lit up during the night.

Have a wonderful day and I hope you
(and I) get some tatting in!!! :)

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Three more Ice Drops emptying the shuttle.

I completed the collar for my 100 year old.  I can't
wait to see her response...especially since she just
told me no gifts, but I had the tatting part done in
August or Sept or Oct.  so.... ;)  she is going to get
it. ;)

Here is a look at how large my refrigerator magnets are.
I wanted them big for seniors to read easy. ;)

Below is a close-up of my last one, and my
first one.

Have a very Merry and blessed Christmas!!!  :)
May all your tatting dreams come true!!  ;)

Happy 4th of July(mine is tatting and Christmas movies)!

I have made very little progress on my Multi-Triangle
Insert.

I am working on a necklace/collar I saw in a facebook
group.  It takes tons of beads!!!  I am on the second
section and there is a third after this.

I am making myself a plastic canvas sled "welcome"
sign for the holidays. The challenge was all the green
for the wreath and I think I made a mistake, but it looks
good for me.

I have decided that I am not going to continue
with my macrame and micro-macrame(except
to use up the cords I have).  I greatly prefer my
tatting and its less expensive.
Hope you have a wonderful day and get some
tatting done!!  :)
