Geckos

They are for our granddaughters.  The earrings are for the 11 year old who has terrible trouble finding earrings that won't give her infections.  Every metal and even plastic have caused problems, but we are going to give these a try(mom said it was ok).  They are tatted in size 80 Lizbeth Springtime(she chose the color).  I wish they looked better, but I can't seem to get them to stay snuggly together without gaps!!.  The other one will probably become a necklace for the 7 year old who said she wanted a gecko to hold in her hand and then make it a necklace(we shall see-that mind changes faster than our weather!).  :)  It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Caribbean(by her choice).

I thought there would be more of a size difference, but surprises happen.  ;)

They have both chose another project for each of them which I think may wait till next week since I have been super busy and need a break.  :)

Last test tatting(until she says there is more)

This is another Elaine P. Gan design.  Now, for those who don't know, I don't wear earrings so....most are test tatted and I only do one which I can use as a motif, but this one may possibly get a match and be given to someone.  I love the design!!!

Got some small test tattings done

All 3 of these designs are again from Elaine P. Gan.  And they are all earring patterns

The first is tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Caribbean.

 This next one is tatted in size 40 an HDT from Tat-ilicious(from several years back). I had asked her if she could dye a confetti thread(hoping for little spots of all different colors) and this was her thought-pretty colorway, but not what I was thinking. I call it Hippie Summer cuz' it reminds me of blue jeans and peasant tops from the 70's when I was a kid. :) Although not tatted in the same color... this earring goes with this pendant:  http://hiskid66.blogspot.com/2015/06/another-test-tat-done-today.html

 This last one is tatted in size 10 my "HDT" Confetti(I used fabric markers and "dotted" the thread).

Fishing(no tatting)

We took our granddaughters fishing Saturday.  This top picture has both the girls in it.  On the right side of the picture is "Grandpa" holding the fish that came off the other guy in the back's pole(that's our friend).  The girls wanted to see it.   

 This picture is the youngest one scared to hold her TINY little fish on the line so I could get the picture.  They were upset because it was bleeding and Grandpa let some other fishermen use it for cut-bait so he was called "Mean Grandpa" for awhile there.  

We were only out for about 2 hours and my right forearm is now sunburned.  I tried tatting, but made too many mistakes and just put it aside so as not to ruin it.

It's another invasion of the granddaughters weekend.  So...I don't know that you will see or hear any more this weekend(unless there is an unexpected blessing headed my way).  It will be chaos around here and very noisy.  Right now, they are swimming with Aunt Sarah so I have a small break, and tomorrow we are going fishing(they have poles that light up when reeling).  :)

I spent most of today tatting it. There is one error which is totally my fault-I missed a join.

Another quick test tat

This is another Elaine P. Gan design.  It's an earring and you can place a small charm in the center if you like, and/or you could add beads.  It's actually small, but the picture is deceiving.

On to another test tat.  The water to our home is shut off and will be twice tomorrow, so I am hoping to get test tatting done since dishes and laundry are not possible.

Just finished another cross....this one is mine!!!

Renulek's 2014 Spring Doily completed!!!

I took 2 pictures.  I put in on a white table we have since it doesn't show as nicely on the brown table.  And I opened the front door and drug the table into the doorway and took the pictures with brighter light.  :)

Another test tat done today.

Been tatting right along.  This one is a bit wonky due to me trying to close the open gaps in the center of the butterflies, and also trying to keep the colors where I wanted them which meant SLTs. 

This is tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Christmas Green and Fruit Fizz.

Not sure there will be anymore today due to the invasion of a headache.

Tatting, tatting, tatting(just little bits) and blocking(finally)

Well, yesterday between Sunday groups I tatted!!!  :)   I tatted this cross from Tatting Patterns from Mary Konior(the most expensive book I have ever bought!!!  I paid $50 for it, but I have several patterns I really want to tat from it when I get the chance!!!).

It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Rainbow Splash.

Next are a couple of items I test tatted for Elaine P. Gan.  I haven't done much test tatting with many, many things going on, but I jumped back into it and got 2 done, and hoping to have more soon!

 I finally found my foam pads and got busy yesterday blocking this 2014 Spring Doily!!!

I got it wet and started pinning, but it was drying quickly so after I got it pinned out I sprayed it down with warm water(heavily!!!) and am giving it 2 or 3 days to dry completely and then I will unpin and take pictures and post!  :)

If you are wondering what's next as my friend here in town keeps asking....I have more crosses to tat, earrings to tat for our granddaughters, plenty of already started projects to try and finish(that will take a miracle!!!), and so very many awesome patterns I want to tat!!!
