Another Birthday Motif Ice Drop just different beads.
Here are all three side by side with the slight differences.
About 6 years ago I tatted treble clefs for some ladies
I know who play guitar in ministry. Well, a friend of
those ladies(whom I know) asked me recently if I would
tat a treble clef for her. Since she is closer to me than
the others I thought I would try to make hers more
special. I have a treble clef and two music notes so
far. :) Pattern for the treble clef here:
Pattern for the music notes here:
All tatted in size 10 Royale thread.
Now as for the thinking......I got into my bag of blues
Ice Drop gems which contain blues, frosted and clear
just to realize that clear are much, much smaller than the
first two. So....I thought I could make Ice Drop earrings
with these and they would be real Ice Drop earrings, but
they are smaller than the glass beads I use for my Ice
Drop earrings, so.....I am going to try a different stitch
count for my size 40 Ice Drop earrings, or go to size 80
and see if it will work. ;)
So....there is part of my very gray day!!!
Happy tatting and have a wonderful day
wherever you are!!!! :)

Love the Ice Drops!
Your music notes are really clever! I like the third birthday ice drop too.
Tatting and music... fantastic duo! I've been using the tiny glass gems with the metallic threads, using the original stitch count. It will be fun to see what your Ice Drop earrings look like!
Thank you all very much!!! :)
Has it been 6 years? Wow! I’m loving your ice drops, especially the colors. Very talented!
Thank you very much Michelle!!! :) It has been around 6 years since I tatted the treble clef.
This is a great adaptation & love the subtle shades !
