I have been hard at work! I have finally gotten round 6 done and am glad! I am going to take a break again and try to work on a few new things(I hope). :)

Doily.......
I worked on the doily(round #6) and was so happy with how it was looking until I realized that after tatting 8 of 21 sections that I had done it wrong. So, I cut it all off and restarted the round again. I want it to be true to the pattern, or otherwise I would have just left it since it kinda looked ok to me. Oh well, learning is a tough job and I have a long way to go yet. I only have 2 sections done properly so when the round is complete I will show it.
Motif #4
Was busy this weekend so not much tatting accomplished.
Sunday night I started the Ruffle-Edged Snowflake from Tatted Snowflakes by Vida Sunderman. After getting the first round done I just loved how it looked and decided to keep it, so I made a second to turn into the full snowflake. Yesterday I got the second round done and my daughter thought it was awesome that way so I took a picture of it(I will probably make her one).
And then, last night I finished the whole snowflake. It doesn't look as awesome as the picture, but that's the difference between learners and those who have been at it for awhile. I think mine is ok though. And I emptied the shuttle and made a flower and another butterfly.

Tatting again, but not the doily
I will get back to the doily, but I wanted something different, so I emptied a shuttle and came up with a butterfly larger than my normal ones and I like it! You can see my normal ones on the top of my blog.
And then I got messing around and tried a new pattern(for me). It's the Beaded Snowflake from Tatted Snowflakes by Vida Sunderman. The pattern says silver beads, but I had blue and I like it, but I guess I need to tighten my chains more to get them to lay better(I had just thought they would need to be looser than normal).

Motif #3
I took a break from the doily and here is the motif I have been working on. It's a Square Medallion # 28 from Tatting with Anne Orr. I was so excited that I wasn't making too many mistakes and just before I finished the last "clover" and chain I thought I was done and had cut the threads and then realized I had messed up and had to tie the threads together to finish, but it's done and it looks ok.

Saturday morning-supposedly spring
Well, it's Saturday morning and supposed to be spring, but the weather is proving it's Michigan again. Yesterday was around 40-50 degrees out and no snow, and here is this morning.....
And since I already started today and there isn't much on tv and nothing else to do so far, I sat down and tatted this flower. It is from Easy Tatting by Rozella F. Linden and it's listed as a tatted flower pin. Motif # 2

First motifs done for challenge, but I will only count them as one since they were so quick. :)
Thought I would tat something today to start the blog with a project done today if possible and here are 2 candy canes shuttle tatted. Pattern is from the Online Tatting Class by Anita H. The I made the pattern first which resulted in the shorter candy cane, but I wanted a little larger one and tried my hand at improvising and I like the larger one I came up with. Both are nice. :)
