Can't tat today- **cries**

Well, I had planned on getting the dishes done and more tatting, but I am not putting my finger in warm water or wrapping thread around it after getting burned. My finger is green as you can see from the burn relief gel(aloe vera with Lidocaine-my number one item for sunburns or any other burns!). But, I thought since I can't finish a project and show it, I would show what I had been working on and hoping to finish.

First is a butterfly edging-will share pattern link when I show finished work. In the new Lizbeth Girly Girl. **Pictures aren't good, but will do for now.

Next, is a tatted edging in the new Lizbeth Scottish Thistle.

And more waiting in line!!!

It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Christmas Red and Bright Orange.

I want to thank everyone who encouraged me to keep going. It took 3 tries to get the body, and 3 tries to get the first wing. I was actually able to finally get the SSSRs to work(not great, but really good I think). Now, just so you know I don't believe I have the wings done correctly, but I am very happy with how nice it looks!!! And I have gotten great compliments around home too!! :) Thanks again everyone! This is for the grandmother of the little boy who will receive the dragon(when I get the wings done). :) Thanks to all those who encouraged me I have the body and head done(not perfect, but well). :)

A new tv, stand, and lots of Lizbeth threads!!!

My husband says that he got the Mother's day gifts this year so I will have to get the Father's day gifts. He got a new tv and stand(cabinet). I have more space(on the top of the cabinet) to display tatting!!!

I ordered some more Lizbeth threads this week and here they are(So very beautiful!!!).

Here are some of the colors-Navy blue, Latte Foam, Golden Yellow Med., and Mocha Brown Dk.

...and here are-Blue Ice, Navy blue, Lime Green Med., Sea Island Citrus, Scottish Thistle, Girly Girl, Raspberry Pink Med., Island Breeze, and Wildflower Garden.

I have projects I insist getting finished before I start playing with the new fun colors, but I am having some trouble with self control. :D

Dragon tails and sad story

I have been trying to tat the Flying Minor Norwegian Dragon by Anne Bruvold and this is what I have so far. I wanted to do one without the extra picots and on the first one I forgot to add them for joins, and the second one I remembered them, but the string tangled on the close of the ring and snapped. Plus, I don't think that SSSRs and I are going to be friends.

So, the reason for tatting the dragon is for a gift to a little 4yr. old boy. His grandmother(a friend of mine) told me this sad story.

This little boy was told by an older woman that his jacket was ugly. That jacket was given to him by his mother and she had just recently passed away. The saddest part to this whole story is that it was his other grandmother(his dad's mother) who had told him his jacket was ugly.

I just could not believe anyone could be so cruel especially to their own grandchild!!!

I told my friend I wanted to tat a dragon for him and she was overwhelmed that someone would be that kind who doesn't even know him.

So.....I HAVE to complete this dragon!!!!!
