The VERY slowly progressing Tatted Tablecloth

The last update on this was way back in 2011 here:
It's for my husband and he is actually being patient with me on this.
I have done just a tiny bit more since this picture(my new camera is no longer recognized by the computer so I had to go to great lengths to get this here).  I am just using the same antique motif over and over and creating my own design.  The pattern is here:  http://www.antiquepatterns.dreamhosters.com/DMCTat.pdf
It's called Ground figure 24 Medallions(apparently the link isn't working any longer or just right now).  I can't wait to see the finished project.....but I guess I will have to wait or learn to tat at the speed of light!!  :)

  1. you are making progress I have to take a second look. because it goes off of a couch cushion and on to another so that is not bad and looks wonderful too, large work of art I am impressed!

  7. So pretty! If I were to tat a tablecloth, it would have to be for a very small table. I don't think I have the patience for a full tablecloth!

  8. Very elegant, I have been wanting to make a table cloth but can't seem to settle down on one item at a time, now I am making tiny pink cherry blossoms for an art piece I'm making.

  9. It's going to look stunning! Actually, it already looks stunning. A tablecloth is a huge project to tackle.

  10. It's so amazing, I had to hunt up the pattern. Using the Wayback Machine, the whole DMC book can be found at:

I don't know that I'll ever get to the tablecloth stage, but yours is certainly an inspiration!

  11. Thank you very much everyone!!! :)
I realize it's a huge project, but I really want to do some large projects. I like the smaller projects for the feeling of accomplishing something sooner, but I really am wanting to do larger pieces. Call me ~CRAZY~ :)
Marty, glad you found the pattern and thanks for sharing the link!! :) I have it printed and the link worked when I originally started the tablecloth. :)
