2014 Motif Challenge # 7

I wasn't going to add this motif to the challenge, but then I realized that it was my first time using Josephine knots so I decided that I would add it.  :)  So....motif #7 is Kincir from Tatting with Rings by Jon Yusoff.
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Island Breeze.
Next, is just another bangle bracelet dreamcatcher.  A friend asked if I could tat her a dreamcatcher and I said I would.  She wanted red and blue, but I only had this quilting thread which I asked her if it would do and she said yes.  So, here is the red, white, and blue dreamcatcher.

  2. Love that turquoise! That colour appeals to me the older I get.... As long as I don't start loading it onto my eyelids, I guess it's not a bad thing! : ))

Fox, uh...yah, I don't think on your eyelids would go to well either, but maybe your next tatting project??? :)

  4. Both so pretty! Dream catcher must've been tricky in such fine thread, but it makes it very delicate.

  6. Thank you very much Jane!! :) It wasn't so tricky with the fine thread, but the thread pulled apart at one point while wrapping the bracelet and I had to figure a way to continue so that was a bit tricky. :)
    Thank you Jolimama!! :)

  9. Thank you Diane!! :) Ummmm....fun....not really for me. I hate the thread twisting up on me(or I am doing something wrong). :) Either way, I think they turned out ok.

  11. Both the 'motifs' are very cute. I especially like the dream-catcher! In fact, it can a nice gift for July 4th, with your beautiful colored thread :-))

I've been going through some of your earlier motifs & tatting, too. Lovely work !

As regards Josephine rings, there were a few superb tips on an InTatters thread where experienced tatters said that they start &/or end the JR with a Normal ds. Haven't yet tried it myself - have you?

  12. Hi Muskaan!! Thank you for your comments!! :) I am not on InTatters, but no, I haven't tried that tip myself. This was my first attempt with Josephine rings so I just did what it said. :) Thanks for the tip, I might try it sometime. :)

As for the josephine rings, not my thing. I feel like the thread twists up so much. But I am happy that people think they look good!! :)
