Here is my first attempt at a Piney Woods Tatter pattern. It's one of her free patterns called Rosalie. I only did the first 2 rounds. I want to try again in a smaller thread. This is tatted in Lizbeth Foam Latte size 10 with clear beads. I think it's ok for a first time try. I need to pay better attention to details. :)
Here is the link to the pattern: http://pineywoodstatter.blogspot.com/2012/07/rosalie-free-pattern.htmlPlease forgive me for forgetting to add it sooner.
Did you needle tat it? Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great first try! It's always good to try, but I don't dare try this one yet. That Celtic stuff scares me :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jane, no I shuttle tatted it using the interlocking SCMR's. Thanks for the comment!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy! I hope when I do it again it will be greatly improved!! :)
I think that's a brilliant first try, well done

Thank you very much Margaret!! :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice.... Interlocking SCMR's? I don't think I know how to do it. Great motif!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very neat pattern! At first I thought the beads were links of chains, and I wondered how you managed it. It pays to read! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty! Love the placement of beads and I think the Size 10 really enhances the interlocking SCMRs.
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteSunela, thank you!! :) I did a tutorial on how I do the interlocking SCMRs and it's on the right side of my blog page if you are interested.
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane!! I am hoping to do another and actually complete the whole pendant. :)
Thank you Umintsuru!! I am actually thinking a little bit smaller thread might make the center a bit better. :)
Thank you Carla!! :)
Beautiful work! I love the interlocking part. Something else to put on my list of things to learn!
ReplyDeleteThank you Carrie!! :) I can't wait to see your next project!! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat first try.
ReplyDeleteI've tried these interlocking rings with the needle and the last one doesn't overlap the way the others do. they're all over/under but the last is under/under. Haven't figured out what I'm doing wrong.
