More and more

Still tatting Pop Top Ice Drop ornaments.
Messing up between the size 20 and 40 threads, 
and the picot gauge sizes when switching between 
sizes.  Oh well, they are getting done!

Still in tatting motion!!!

Continuing with Pop Top Ice Drop Ornaments.
This one also in size 40(switching between the 
2 sizes is not the best of ideas!!!).

And, after running low on thread and being pretty 
sure I would run out, I started on one of my Christmas 
button ornaments.  I will get the center done soon and 
add the button.

I currently have 3 Pop Top Drop centers done and 
are waiting for the outer row to get done. And, to 

explain what I said at the top about switching between 

the 2 thread sizes...I went back to the size 40 after 
using the 20, but forgot to switch picot size too, so 
I will have another 5 point ornament.  
And....2 of my Pop Top Ice Drop ornaments have 
been claimed, and one of my button ornaments.
The question now is.....will I have any for the craft 
show????

 I ended up with size 20 thread and had

to try and adjust stitch counts.  I ended 

up with 5 points, but it still looks good.

Have another started and am going to 

try for 6 points again.

Look what I got in the mail today

 I have wanted this book, but had to
patiently wait until I got up enough
money to get it.  Well, I was looking 
at my Amazon wish list the other day 
and said to myself I really need to get 
it before I can't.  I haven't seen Robin 
Perfetti(Tatting by the Bay) on in
a long time and I e-mailed her, but
haven't received a response. So, my
hubby let me purchase it so I didn't
have to miss out.  :)

 

And now there are 2!!!

 First was green, now red!

I love how these came out and already have more 
waiting and getting ready to start another.

A Pop Top Ice Drop

 I haven't tatted any Pop Top Drops in awhile, 
but, I do have plenty to get done and since our 
daughter and I are going to be in a craft show 
again this year I need something to try and sell.
So, I figure some ornaments might interest 
people.  
This Pop Top Drop wasn't tatted from a pattern. 
I just picked up the shuttles and started tatting.
It's size 40 Lizbeth Christmas Green Mix and 2 
sizes of beads.

The tatting

First to start, I have a friend who lost her sister 
on Mother's Day.  She asked if I would get her 
obituary laminated for her.  I didn't get it done 
as soon as I should, but thankfully she loves me 
and cried when I handed her this tatting embellished 
keepsake.

She didn't know her sister's favorite color, but said 
she wore a lot of pastels, so Lizbeth size 40 Rainbow 
Taffy is used to help her remember.

Next, I wanted to empty shuttles and had lots of 
smaller pieces of thread which were not enough 
for projects, but great for tassels, so I made a 
tassel....

and then, just had to tat a bookmark to go with it.

Tatted out of the empty space in my head.  ;)

Another use for emptying shuttles....Ice Drops.
I have had these blue "gems" that don't go well 
with most of my thread colors, but since Lace Lovin' 
Librarian Diane had inspired me to get the Lizbeth 
Arctic Waters(size 20), I now have the perfect thread to use.
Just tatting out of my head(yep, nothing in there).  ;)

Kind of wonky because I didn't join all the bases 

of the rings, but it's pretty!! :)

Next, another Arctic Waters.  I really like how this one 
came out!!!!!

Another doodle Ice Drop, but I love how this thread 

also goes with this metallic looking blue "gem".

And, another Pink Blossom with these really pretty 

metallic looking plastic beads our daughter gave me.

Looks like a flower to me!! :)

I needed a cross for another senior who just joined 

our Sunday night group.  Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth 

Tropical Punch.  This is Elaine P. Gan's Justification 

Cross.

I had a request for a pendant like mine in purple and 

white.  This is Yarnplayer's Star Capella.  The white 

beads are a bit large for it, but it's unique.

And...I have been working on designing a large triangle 

insert for the sides of my shirts.  This isn't great at all, 

but good for a first try.  I have cut out(I tatted it from the 

outside in to get the size I want) started sections several 

times, and untatted and retatted over and over.  I started 

this project May 7th.  

I also have another idea which I 

started, but have put on the side as I tried to get this triangle 

completed first.  Small triangles joined together to 

make a large triangle.  Two possibilities with this...

first, open triangle spaces as in the picture below, 

second, all triangles filling the open space. I did 

realize that I NEED to make my joining picots on 

the points much larger, especially if I have triangles 

filling the empty spaces.  ;)

The only thing about this design is that it's an equilateral 

triangle, unlike the above triangle which is tall and 

narrower at the bottom.  

Well, I am caught up on sharing what I have tatted.

I have been 3 weeks....

 Without internet.

And today when they got it up and running, 
it only lasted less than an hour and was out 
again for almost another 4 hours.

I have been tatting and will do my best to post 
pictures next week.
