Straight from the shuttles and...clear!
This is Star No. 1 from page 51 in the book Tatting Patterns and Designs
by Gun Blomqvist and Elwy Persson.
It's tatted in size 40 Sunset HDT from AlenAleaDesign.
It's actually 4 triangle corner pieces joined to make a square.
I know it needs blocking, but I love it!!! :)
Working on the other 2 purposely blurred projects yet.
Happy tatting everyone!! :)
Oh this is absolutely beautiful work and I have the book but don't remember this one must be the beautiful colors that changed the look.
ReplyDeleteOoooh! Pretty! Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you both very much!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it, too! I've definitely got to take another look at my copy of that book.
ReplyDeleteThank you Eliz!!! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteClever arrangement :-)
ReplyDeleteCan make a stylistic photo frame.
Wouldn't it make a wonderful picture frame? I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant idea! I remember having seen that triangle before, but could not remember where. NEVER thought about putting them together like that - it's a wonderful square.
ReplyDeleteWow, interesting construction! Great result.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I would not have thought of putting the four corners together to make an edging. Do you have a center in mind to attach this edging to?
ReplyDeleteThank you all so very much!!! :) I am overwhelmed by the response to this!! :)
ReplyDeletemica, I do not have a center planned. I just had to tat it and see if it would make a square. :)
That's a great square, and a proper square pattern, looks very pretty
